Harvest Day

Hector Wheelie here!

After careful inspection of the garden, I decided that it was time to make a final harvest of the vegetables.
I had to pull up all the plants and put the nice ripe butternut squash, zucchini, hot peppers, bell peppers, and tomatoes aside to be enjoyed later.

That left quite a mess which, of course, had to be cleaned up.
Thanks to the fact that I have been working out, I was able to haul away most of the debris on my own.
But some of those plants were, well, Relentlessly Huge!Even after all those trips to the gym, I knew I would need some help. Do I have any volunteers? Its nice to see such eager lads. They were actually arguing over who would get to assist me.
Typical teenager... Dexter kind of missed the point of the exercise and just wanted to gnaw on the leaves. But that Mango! I couldn't have done it without him!Even though the aire was cool, that was hard work, so I needed to refresh myself.Uh, Dexter, I'm in the pool, man, OK? Can't a guy have some privacy?Do you see the fence at the far end? That is a part of the garden that I left intact because...It has the Wally-Melon! Still not ready to eat, but maybe soon...Hector wheelie, over and out!

Great work there, Hector. And lucky for you that you had Mango come to the rescue. Relentlessly huge stuff calls for a huge guy and Mango sure fits the bill. Hope you get to enjoy some of that wallymelon soon.

Hector!!! I missed you soooo much. I think Melitta has too. You always bring a smile to mommys face and usually a giggle or 2.
Mango sure did look like a big help. That Dexter will be ready to harvest by next year!! Well maybe... if he leaves that monkey of Mangos alone...... he may live long enough to make it to next year.

Aire smooches,
