Agilities Come to my Estate

A package arrived today which I was told was "something fun" for me and pee-wee.

The Squirt got very excited when he saw what it was.

I was suspicious, but decided to get whatever it was out of the box anyway.

Weave poles? BORING!

But Pee-Wee was all like "Oh boy! Weave poles! Come on, Mango, this is great!" Alright, I will give it a try.

There! Satisfied?

Wouldn't you rather bitey face than weave?

Isn't this more fun? See what a kind Relentlessly Huge I am to let the little guy bitey my neck and pretend he is a fierce big dog.

Of course one can only tolerate so much of that before it is necessary to remind the midget who the actual big dog is (note I am almost levitating with only one dainty toe remaining on the ground).

That's more like it. SQUEEEEE!

Here is what I think of those dumb weave poles. I think this is a good Wally face. What do you think Wally?

I had more pictures, but blogger is being stubborn and not letting me upload, so that's all for now. I have been told that I WILL learn to weave. Yeah, whatever.

Mango Man! Oh yeah!

Mango, congrats on being annointed a goob! You should learn to waeve. You can make sweaters for poor freezing chihuahuas everywhere!

Good luck, relentlessly huge one.

Hi Mango

We wanted to stop by and say hi. We seem to know a lot of the same doggies, and we are Massachusetts neighbors. Come visit us sometime.

The agility thing looks cool.

Ummm, Mango? Is this what you really want to do, your hugeness? Looks like a lot of hard, sweaty work to me.
BUT, if thats what you want, go for it!

Hi Mango!
Those weavey poles look pretty tough to me! I think bitey face is way more fun! Especially when you always win!

Bitey face games are better than almost anything but I am sure that your momma will make the weave training fun. Think lots of treats.

Good job on winning bitey face with Dexter. What chance does he have against your relentlessly hugeness?

Niamh

Ooh...a weave pole! That is quite a cool piece of equipment there! But I agree, bitey face sure beats the heck out of weaving...*wink*

Hope you have a great weekend!

Mango mate,
Crikey we've been a bit slack getting around to everyones blog.
You guys have done so much. The barn is coming along nicely. Good work to your pinkies.
D thinks the agility course is a great idea. She thinks Lucy & Tess would be quite good at it. I'm more like you mate. Lounging is more my style.

Hmmm.. weave poles... that one is a pain, us big doggies have more trouble than the little midgets, like a certain Border collie I know...who thinks it is all fun and games, I make Mommy work for it, she has to give m treat every time I go around one. That works!

Hey Mango,

Personally, I never found weave poles to be all that exciting. I'd much rather climb the A-frame or better yet, run supersonic fast through the tunnel!

Hey Mango, you can always do bitey face on the weave poles!! That would settle the whole deal.

Woowee....weave poles...have fun with those! Maybe a treat behind each one...that would lure ME to weave around them quite well...!!!

Mango!

Nice Wally impersonation. Next time I want to see a full frontal impersonation (with your snout facing the camera)!

Weave poles? You don't need a weave, man. I like your hairdo just the way it is. What's Dexter doing get a WEAVE? I don't get it.

You seem to have some fine wrasslin' moves will on your back. I'll have to see some video so I can study your tapes.

Goober love,
Stanley

Bitey face looks like so much more fun.

Martha Basset said...

Hi Mango
Ask your mom is she can make a video of herself showing you how to use those poles!
Agility - what's that?
Now you are very graceful on those paws and as you say would be a natural dancer. Your levitation skills have been noted over here in Scotland.
What about some line dancing videos and then you get to wear a cowboy hat?
Happy Easter guys!

Why would you do those weave things when it would be much faster to 1)walk past them 2) knock them over 3) take a nap next to them? I say--leave it to the labradudes!

I am licking my chops in agreement with you.

My mom once visited a lady who had an entire agility course set up on her property. The lady also had 11 dogs and a specially equipped RV to travel with them. It probably all started with one innocent box of weave poles. Just a heads up.

See ya!

Ciao Mango and Dex!

Hmm .. I excel in something called Reverse Weaving -- have you tried that yet?? It doesn't use poles -- it uses rugs, socks and sweaters!! (Giggle!!!!)

You have a fantastico levitation technique, Mango -- such grace!!

Oho, Mango. Am I glad that I checked in with you!

Ms. Alpha has been on a Weave Pole mission this week. She also knows all about Affordable Agility, but plans to make 'em herself. So, I feel you pain and total disinterest. I think the pole stuff might be better used as fetching sticks, but I think we're both in for a weaving training session. By the way, do you know about the guides? I used 'em at the intructor's place and they really helped me learn where to go!

Your pal,
Fenway

Moco said...

Beware of gifts that come in packages that require opening. Not always what we want. Weave on!

Fenway said...

Haha, Mango. Everyone knows border collies are smart and I figured out the quickest way to get to the end is by stepping OVER the guides and going in a straight line.

Yes, that's the quickest way for sure.

BUT, I've also figured out that I only get clicked and treated when I go around each pole!

This has me confounded and doesn't make sense.

Well Mango, what does your Mom think she is doing? Trying to turn you into one of those "Alien beings" I think you called them at the mango minster... "I wasn't even going to let Border Collies into Mango Minster because I know they are not actually doggies, but alien beings from the planet Agility"

Yea, good luck with that Mango!

Hi Mango,

I agree with you. I don't like to weave either. There are just too many interesting things in the yard to play with. I wish you and Dexter were her so I could play bitie face too.

Hey Mango - sticks!! You don't weave through them - you yank them out of the ground and run, sillyboy! I'd have to twist my neck into a pretzel to get those out but those are the best kind.
