Wheelie Wednesday - Rescue

Last week I reported on my alarming accident while tree climbing which left me dangling in a very precarious position.

My cries for help went unheeded as Master was busy playing with his new machines in the barn.

And putting up wood on the walls.

Mango and Momma were busy playing "let me out, let me in" and who knows what was up with Dexter?

Honestly, how many times can they do this in one day?

By this time I was feeling quite dizzy from hanging upside down and so doubted my senses when I started to hear scrabbling on the tree trunk and the chitter chatter of little rodents. Could it possibly.... SQUIRRELS?

Somehow, I found myself upside down and being transported across the front lawn.

Then ever so gently loaded over the fence and back into the safety of our back yard.

MANGO! The squirrels saved me! Can you believe it?

Hector Wheelie! Over and out!

That was awfully nice of those squirrels to help you out, Hector! Aren't you a little nervous as to why they were so nice to you?! What could their motives be?

I don't trust the squirrels, I think it was some kind of a head game they are playing with you. My Mom says to tell you in or out, make up your mind, whatever that means. Say hi to Dexter, ok Mango.

hello wheely its dennis the vizsla dog hay hmmm i think the skwirrels must be up to sumthing hav yoo chekd yore wheels and underkarridj for eksplosivs or posibly acorns??? ok bye

A squirrel rescue Hector? Maybe you should have those nutty squirrels operate a that table saw to create a RH doggie door so DOH doesn't have to let him in and out - in and out.

Amber and Nala said... you think it is part of their evil plan or could they really be compassionate and friendly?? Tell Mango I do the same trick to my Mom and Dad at the door....they think it's hilarious...well, not really but I do. :) BOL!

ocmist said...

I still wonder who made you fall in the first place!? They probably oiled the tree so you couldn't keep your wheels under you.

It IS possible that there ARE some squirrel double agents... there are always good and bad in every species, but I'd be very careful because look what happened when they got a claw into the door at Dozer's place! OC

You cannot trust those squirrels. We understand that you are a sweet natured wheelie - talk to Mango, he will explain!
We liked Mango's 'let me in, let me out' game - that is one that Bailey likes to play.
She feels she is keeping our mum fit by not allowing her to sit for too long!
Have a lovely day - it is Thursday here so we are not sure what happens with the time in blogland!

Hey, Hector.

I find this entire story hard to believe. Sorry, man, but that does NOT sound like the squirrels I know.

Love the way Mango is nuzzling you, though.

Goober love,

That is ok, Mango. I always zoom out the door when Mommy opens it, but then I just want right back in.

Hey Hector,

Are you sure this wasn't all a dream? I've never know them varmits be nice to any doggie. What was you doing up that tree anyway?

Mommy wants to know if Mango and Dexter want to be a part of my sleepy, napping, dreaming & meditating post. I would love to the magnificant Mango and the Goofy Dexter in my post. If they do please have their Mommy send me some pictures. I like the one of you and Mango at the end of this post. I want to use it too...OK?
Mom's gonna do the post this weekend.

Okay - now I am wondering what those crazy squirrels are plotting!

P(ee)S: Could you please send some of your rain OUR WAY!??

I have no beef with squirrels but the shepadorks at my house are constantly chasing them away. I understand the inside/outside game, especially when it is raining.

P.S. My secret word is Kings. Obviously a reference to Wally and Mango, rulers over a world of dorks.

I don't believe it! You have amazing squirrels where you live. The ones around here would never rescue anyone.

Joe Stains said...

All I hear about is how terrible squirrels are and how they are the worst creatures, but this is clearly not true for all squirrels. ALSO can't Mango with his relentlessly hugeness just open that door himself?
