Awards and Curious Facts

Curious Fact #1

My good pal, Max, who lives in the strange world of South Africa alerted me that I must NEVER EVER visit him because they have many pests intent on undermining the structural integrity of the Mango. To whit;

Pest 1: The fruit fly (which follows you around everywhere - and reminds me a bit of your mate, Dexter.)
Pest 2: The Mango-weavil (which apparently you suffer from during transportation)
Pest 3: The Coconut bug (which apparently causes fruit drop...not sure if you suffer from that?)
Pest 4: Armoured or soft-scale insects (which cause leaf drop?)
Pest 5: The Gall fly (you may draw your own conclusions)
Pest 6: The Mealy bug (which makes the mango unsightly...poor boy!)

Oh the horror!

Curious Fact #2

Some of my doggie pals do not have the high speed internets which allow them to watch my most large and amazing movies. That makes me very sad.

Curious Fact #3

Yes, it is true that I did not poop for three whole days last week and that had momma's panties in a twist all worried that I might be backed up. Frankly, it has just been too hot to poo (but I am once again producing at full capacity).

And now on to awards! I am very happy when I get awards and usually pass them along as instructed, but I am going to just post them for today because I am still suffering a lot from the heat and need to conserve my energies. I hope you understand.

This award is from Maggie and Mitch who are totally my oldest blogging pals.
I am supposed to tell you about bad things that I ate, but to be honest, I am not prone to consuming illicit items due to Momma poop detective always inspecting my poops for contraband. There was, however, that whole sock swallowing incident however... unfortunately, no photos.

Pee-Wee once stole a bannannanna and ate the whole thing, peel and all, except for the stump by the time momma caught him. And of course Raja once ate half a cheesecake whilst the people were busy IN THE SAME ROOM eating their Thanksgiving dinner.

This award is from my newest pal, Oskar, who is a shnowz-her doggie. I have met some of those little doggies and they are quite the package.

Finally, this special award from little Taffy. It says that I am rare, delicate, and charming.

Yes, I am all those things...

RARE

DELICATE

CHARMING

Mango Man! Oh yeah!

You are just too funny, Mango! I don't qualify for the food stealing award because I never do that.

I like your pictures, and that Max, isn't he a good guy, though.

Kisses,
Stella

Good thing South Africa is far away - doesn't sound like a very nice place. I wonder if they have Brutus-weavils too?
Rare & charming I'll give you. But I don't think you'll find your picture next to "delicate" in the dictionary any time soon, buddy!

Nice awards! I especially like the foodie stealy one. I tried to slip a cucumber slice off'n the table tonight, but got caught. Not my fault they left the chair right where I could pop up and snag a snackie.

You are truly delicate n rare. So delicate that I don't think you could stand the buggies in Flora-Duh either. We have Palmetto bugs, which SHE says are really ginormous cockamamie-roachies that FLY, no-see-ums that bite like all get out, skeeters big enuff to haul off the neighbors teenky chi-wa-wah and the ever fave LOVE BUGS. Those are very sexy buggies, they fly around attached backwards for days doing...well, you know...until the guy just expires from happiness. Or until both of em splat all over the front of the car.

And charming, well, I have to admit you could charm the panty loons off a girlie, teehee!

sniffies,
Bonnie

You are totally rare, delicate and charming! (And it sounds like South Africa is probably not a place I'll be visiting any time soon, either. Eesh.) And a sock? I'd love to hear the story, even if it is picture-less!

Firstly, let's say the nice things:
"Congrats on the awards and you are cute all around!"
Now the truth!:
Those nostrils of yours...Im sure we could fit some of our South African bananas in them! Snooty ol' &*%x#!...you've lost me all my potential SA visitors. I was gonna give you our South African award (when I came up with it), but you blew it!

The mango weevil??? That just sounds horrifying! Best if you just stay where you are, even if it is 900 degrees and 247% humidity!

Joe Stains said...

I HATE BUGS, those all sound particularly scary and evil. I can't imagine what 3 days of backed up Mango poo looks like.

Life With Dogs said...

Hard to argue with you Mango! Oh yeah! :)

Maggie and Mitch said...

We are so glad to hear that you are no longer backed up, Mango!
A half a cheesecake??!! Lucky Raja!

Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch

I was sort of hoping a bite from the Mango-weavil would make me swell up to be relentlessly huge.

You are a magnificent Mango in your photos.

wally t.

ps. How can we get in on this cheesecake dealie?

Biggie-Z said...

You ate a whole sock once?? yeesh. The worst I ever did was a whole lipstick still in its box and case. But unlike peewee, I peeled it all - including the plastic casing - and only and the yummy red stuff in the middle. I would do it again, too. MMMMMMM.

Woodrow, Luna, MJ Campanella said...

wow you ate a whole sock - that impressive - but i am thinking you shouldnt try that again - woodorw had to have surgeries for that type of behavior

Mango, you are most definitely rare and charming, not to mention handsome, but delicate? Ok I can see it now. Mommy says that after 3 days of not pooping, she doesn't even want to know what came out of you. I bet you felt better though. Congratulations on all of your awards, the Mango deserves them all. Nice job on the sock eating, please stick to foodables, so you don't get a tummy ache.

Hi Mango

We have to say we think visiting S Africa sounds quite interesting. We like a good bug. The hooman freaks out when spiders appear indoors and we are most happy to catch and eat them, the bigger the better.... more meatier!

Well done on receiving your rewards.

Molly, Taffy and MOnty

South Africa does not sound fun. I did have a run-in with a bug once when I decided to eat a bee. For future reference, don't try to eat any bees!

TwoSpecialWires said...

Ummmm. HOW did we miss you? And why, WHY did we read all about annoying bugs when we finally found you? Life has it's funny twists.

One thing we know, we won't have trouble finding you again, big guy (and your brother.) We've added you to our sidebar!

We're two little wires with increasingly greater self-confidence, great enough to call a Massive Mango like you a friend. Wow, we're impressed.
