Dexter Day - Kind of Dull

Things have been pretty dull around here due to Momma having the sickies. She has been sleeping even more than the Relentlessly Huge!

I even missed agilities school yesterday because she said that it was too far for her to drive given that she is feeling all stuffy and woogy.

I have been enjoying my yard and investigating Master's latest activities.

Remember that big ditch that he and Rick dug? Well they filled it up with rocks! It is supposed to help keep my patio from filling up like a pool when there is big rain (although I kind of liked it when it filled up).

I did get to enjoy my usual Dexter day rib bone. Nom, nom, nom.

But after missing agilities and not having walkies for a whole day, I was really feeling in need of some action!

I convinced Momma, after serious cute face, that a nice brisk walk in the fresh air would make her feel much better.

We walked down to the center where the Artificial Kidney Center is. We always try to transmit healing vibes when we go by because the people inside are very sick.

Can you see Momma's reflection? She is wearing her fleece vest in August! That is because she keeps getting something called cold sweats.

In fact on the way home, she started to feel dizzy, which was OK with me because it meant I could take my time checking out the pee-mail.

And leaving some of my own.

As you can see, I did my best to walk slowly so that Momma would feel better. I do think the fresh air was good for her. Please ignore loud sounds. We are crossing the turnpike in those movie and there are always many fast cars on it.

Master is hard at work rearranging the flowers in the front gardens.

It looks like I am levitating, but actually, I just have my feet up on a rock. We put out foodables on that rock to feed the crows. They are very smart and send a spy crow to watch for Momma in the morning and if she puts something out he calls all his pals to come and have a snack.

OK, that's it for me. Sorry things are so dull around here, but hopefully we will be back to normal soon. Uh oh, I think Momma is going back to bed...

Dexter done!

Dexter - your mom has quite the knack for getting things to line up in pictures in a funny way. First the hose, then you levitating, and in the last photo it looks like you are balancing the flower pot on your hear! Is that the evil alien hose I see next to it?

Poor Momma - we hope she feels better soon. And she should try to stay away from Typhoid Mary!!

We thought you were doing a Scottie Stand instead of levitating and were very impressed.

We are sure Dexter that she appreciates your efforts with the brisk walk in the fresh air!!!
Who knows otherwise she might just have gone to bed.
We are also worried that your Master will have a very sore back moving plants!!!

We sure hope Momma is feeling better soon. We might have to come there and let her take us for a walk too - unbearably hot here - no walkies for us.

Thanks for sharing your day, Dex, ours is dull, not yours.

Poor Mama- hope she is feeling better and sorry that your life is a bit dull. I asked mummy if you could come round to my house for a play but she says that Massachusets is very very very far from Oz. Sigh, that is sad.

Dexter, I am glad you got to go for a walk. I hope Mommy feels better soon. These Mommies of ours need constant care it seems. Give her lots of lovies and snuggles. That always helps my Mom. I hope Mango is helping care for her also, I am sure he is. Lick her feet a lot, I am told the bad germs will heal better if you give her doggy licks on the feet. I read it somewhere, I don't know, but its worth a try. Tank suggested chicken soup for my Mom, you might try that also. I hope Mommies up soon, nothing seems quite right when Mommies are sick.

Herro my Dexter pal!

Gees I hope your Momma feels better soon.
Do you get to have snuggles wif her when she is sick? My hoomans (all of them) are very sooky and when they have the sickies I get to climb into bed, or climb on the lounge wif them to give them to give them healing snuggles.

Right now though its me who is getting the healing snuggles from the hoomans BOL!

smooches,

Mr Darcy

Nice of you to think of a walkie. We find that jumping on them when they are snuggled in the bed feeling sick is the best cure. They always get out of the bed and let us "outside."

Wait a minute . . .

good job getting mamma out for a walk little man...my mom never feels like walkies when she is sick...but always feels a little better after getting some fresh air..and then...we have a nap together...that is my favorite part..give your big brother a big hug for me

You mom had fleece on?? Like a sheep??? It's hotter than hades here...we've barely had 80 all summer and it hit 90 today...yeeshch...

Can't believe ur mom is still sickly, Dexter. I'm thinking I might hafta come up there and nurse her back to health since it seems like you and the Relentlessly Not So Smart haven't had much success....I don't think she really needed Fresh Air and Sunshine...it seems like she needs to stay home from workie tomorrow and have some fresh chicken (it's better when it's dead) soup and maybe a slice of toast with many many naps......Let me know...I can catch a commercial flight up there by midnight...

Love and kisses...

Nurse Lacie

Pee ess...I think that you guys have the wrong idea with those hoses and your sick mom...that is SO NOT GOING TO HELP....

Honestly Mango...DO YOU WANT UR CAR COOKIE? Speakin' of which you haven't documented THE RUNNING OF THE ERRANDS in forever...
