I was so excited to hear that today I was going to meet my new nephew, Oliver!
I put together a nice welcome home package for him full of some of my favorite things from when I was a puppy; Charlie Bears, a mini bully stick, and a really annoying duck quack stuffie.
And here we go!
The Relentlessly Huge had to stay home because Oliver has only been home for one week and is just ten weeks old and we didn't want to give him a scare so soon in his life.
First up, the sniff test. He is really SMALL!
It didn't take me long to figure out that Oliver has lots of really cool toys. And they aren't all super sized like the toys at my place.
Most importantly, he had a tennis ball!
Being a good Uncle, I shared with the little dude.
He isn't very fast and when I tried to play chase with him he got left behind. Too much bouncing, not enough forward motion.
Hurry up, squirt, I can't run any slower.
He got tired kind of fast and hid under this chair. Sigh, I remember when I could fit into small spaces (before I was a BIG DOG).
Being just a baby, Oliver needs to eat three times a day, so while he went inside for lunch, I explored this really cool cave at my brother's house.
As an added bonus, his two cats like to go under here and the place was full of cat poop! Yummers!
Hey Oliver! You done eating yet? I am ready for more action!
You would think from this photo that the little guy is actually engaging in directed behavior, but he is really just kind of randomly bouncing.
He still hasn't even learned to roach properly.
More like a face plant.
I made a movie of our day together.
All too soon it was time to go. I managed to nab a photo of Oliver with his mom and dad. Forgive my human brother's goofy face. He always looks funny in pictures.
I didn't think I was tired, but on the way home I could hardly keep my eyes open.
Naturally the Relentlessly Huge was all about checking out the weird puppy smells on momma.
P.S. For all you hardcore Mango fans out there, here he is showing off his keen, alert expression.
