Stuffie Wars

Note from Mango Momma:
Mango is taking 11 doxycycline tablets every day to combat his tick diseases, liquid meloxicam to address the inflammation in his joints, and 100 mg tramadol twice a day for the new pain and swelling in his front leg. He is feeling much better, maybe too much better as I am having trouble keeping him from bouncing on his legs even though they still are causing him to limp a bit. I let him out in the yard with Dex figuring he would be happy to crunch on a toy while Dexter played, but Mango wanted part of the action too, so I had to cut things short.

Yuh, whatever momma, sheesh, do you have to blab everything?

I like this story very much as it demonstrates my most impressive cognitive skills.

Mango Man! Oh yeah!

And such impressive cognitive skills they are - well, except for the letting your leg heal first thing.

Hey Mango my buddy,
Im so happy that you are feeling better. Your strategies in outwitting and outsmarting young Pee-wee are truly impressive. Now listen dude, you have to keep well...otherwise bloggie-land stays in the doldrums.
Lotsoflicks to your large and handsome self. (We were trying to use our cognitive faculties to work out how much 230 pounds are in kilograms...well dude, YOU ARE HUGE! EISH!) But we love every bit of you!

That is cool that the medicines are helping Mango Man...lots of medicines because there is a lot of Mango, right?

Take it easy on the legs though, cause otherwise you can't be an NFL quareterback. Remember what happened to Joe Namath when his legs went kablooey?

Mango, You are so smart and clever. Peewee is no match for your wits, that is for sure. I am so glad you are better today, please stop bouncing so you can rest your sore leg. I hope we don't have to have an intervention for you with all the meds you are on, that is quite a list. Try not to bitey any tricksters tonight.

Happy Halloween.

Umm.... Mr. Mango? If you'd let ME hold that toy for just a couuuuuuuuuple minutes, you won't ever have to worry about Dexter stealing it from you. Not evvvvvvver again. Really.

My momma says she sees my behaviours in your photographs. Mastiffs are a large, handsome, cunning and highly intelligent lot. Good work, regaining possession of your most valued toys. I leave mine beside the Great Red Protector (Daddy).

Mango Mango, you are a wise wise man I can see. You outwitted your labradork brother and got the toy in the end. You are sooo my kind of guy - smart, wise, and that muscle butt of yours....(you know I have a muscle butt too right??).

On top of all that, your prediction on my costume was BANG ON.... I guess Dexter has you trained, so you know how him and STINKY think. I think I would like to borrow your muscle butt and have you sit on STINKY for a while, quite a while if you are able to.

Lastly, I hope you get all better soon!!! Yucky pills and sore joints are a bad bad combination...

Love nibbles,
Miss Sunshade

Very nice, handsome large behind there, RH! And very clever of you to use PeeWee's vanity to steal the toy away! (And they're only giving you tramadol? Ask for the serious happy dust pills. I think TaiChi has some left over from when she broke two of her metatarsals (or something) last year... they're nark, uh, nark-otics.)

Feel better soon!

Excellent plan, Mango -- keep the toy safe from Dexter by hiding it in your relentlessly huge mouth. He will never think of looking in there!

Molly,Taffy and Monty said...

Good to hear all your medication is working Mango, just take things steady for the time being and you will reap the benefits in time....... like runing after Pee Wee a lot faster.

You are very intelligent, Mango. Now that you have shown PeeWee who is the boss, can you just cool it for a bit and give that handsome body a rest?

Happy Howl-o-ween, the OP Pack

Stella said...

Like the peoples say, take it easy, Mango! I like how you outsmarted Peewee and left him standing toyless!

Be careful though!

Daisy Dog said...

Good thing you got the stuffie back! I would have sent over Roscoe to steal it, he is small and sly and fast!

achieve1dream said...

Wow! 12?! That's the only problem with having such a big dog I guess. Wish they made it in a higher dosage pill. He must be getting so sick of medicine. Hope he heals up really fast.

Niamh said...

Of course you were going to get that toy back from your goofy labradork little brother. I never doubted it. Glad to hear that all those pills are making you feel better. Do you get lots of treats when you take your pill?

You got to show him who's the boss doggie. I just collect all the stuff and sleep on it while Arrow barks his head off. Hope all the medicine is helping you feel better. We're crossing out paws for you.

Nicely done, RH! Labradogs will live a life of crime if given a chance! I am glad you are still enjoying Moooose! I asked momma to get me a new one after TeddyNo shredded my last one but no go. Yet.

Hi Mango, you know how it is we take a day off blogging and we will never catch up!
We have just come from Khyra's blog and were concerned you had been made into slaw - worse still her mom has eaten you!!!!!
We trust you are OK!
We are not sure as young ladies of a delicate disposition we should be looking at your buttocks!
We are glad to see however, that despite your ouchie, you can still outsmart Dexter and get your toy back.
We see your mom is making sure you get all your medication and are very pleased you are feeling better ..... and that you have not been made into slaw..... and that Khyra's mom did not in fact eat you.
love and kisses

Goodness... that's a LOT of pain meds... No WONDER you are feeling better. It's a wonder you AREN'T dancing on your toes in a Toot-Toot!!! I'm glad to hear you are doing better, though, my huge friend!

Dexter IS a dork to be making you chase HIM to get your toy back! He should be waiting on you hand and foot (whisper: and sneaking you food... diets are the PITS!) OC

Sorry to hear that The Mango is not feeling 100% well but hopefully all these good vibes from Texas will make their way up to the great North East and give him some comfort.

Mango Man! Oh Yeah! Cognitive drools rule and vain Labradorks are fools! ;) (oh but that dex is a loveable little labradude... who wouldn't love him) but teasing the Mango while he is incapacitated is unacceptable! and The Mango shows him!

(I'm curious, if your mom can email me or send me link to your tick disease info. I've never heard of it. is it lyme?)
