Poor momma. She says her "muscles" are all twitchy and sore from the snow blower machine. It did make things go faster, but it was too heavy for her and even her hands got tired from holding the switch. Oh boo hoo. You poor old thing. Maybe that will inspire her to get more exercise beyond scooping our kibbles into the bowl.

Finally we got to open our pressies from Jazzi's gift exchange.

Good thing we signed up for it because Momma and Master conspired with the family to make this a NO GIFT HOLIDAY! Can you imagine? The humans are all "Oh this will be wonderful! Just time with the family without the burden of shopping and spending all that money."

What a load of crap! I was not consulted. I WANT PRESSIES! I am totally easy to shop for and deserve many good things for ME!

Bug I digress. At least I have DWB to count on to get at least one gift this year. Sigh.

My pressies were from Benny. He sent me a nice card that he wrote on himself.

And TWO stuffies. Wow! The yellow one appears to be an intellectuals stimulations toy in disguise.

PeeWee got presents from Dory and Bilbo. A nice chewie which he decided to save for later since I tend to kind of not allow him to have chewies all to himself.

Benny also sent ME some cookies which I was kind enough to share with PeeWee.

Oops! Watch your fingers.

There were four cookies and momma put two in our cookie jar for later. You can see how pretty and festive they are and they were most yummers. As good as car cookies (which I did not get this week due to lazy DOH refusing to go to the doggie store on our snow day).

Hmmm... which toy to play with?

The yellow thing is most jolly making when placed in my large and stuffie crushing jaws.

Meanwhile, the PeeWee got some sort of mutant half wubba half stuffie thing from Dory and Bilbo which he promptly took to the dog cave.

But you know, its funny how these things work out, because pretty soon, PeeWee had decided that my stuffie from Benny was his most favorite.

Whilst I became attached to the wubba. Go figure.

Wonderful pressies for sure. Thank you Benny and Dory and Bilbo and of course Jazzi.

Our new front porch is as done as it is going to be for now what with the winter weather closing in, so Jarrod and Mickey have not been around lately.

Imagine my surprise when I spotted Jarrod sneaking into the barn. I wonder what he wanted?

Mango Man! Oh yeah!

woah man my mommas been telling me all about the krampus, so make sure you keep santa on your side, the krampus is one scary dude

Cool pressies guys! And those biccies look seriously yum. Hmmm, our humans don't do pressies either - they got a bit fed up a few years ago with ungrateful relatives so now make charity donations instead. They agree it's taken the stress out of Christmas shopping! However, we are pleased and relieved to report that folks can not resist our schnauzer charms so pressies have still been rolling in for us if not for them - ha! Schnauzer snuggles - JD and Max.

Heather and Pumpkin said...

Oh Mango, can't you use your large and flatulent self as a snow blower so your mommy can save her hands for important tasks such as can opening?

I am with you on pressies. Since we are having kind of a low pressie Christmas too, mom is holding my prize from My Pet Haven as my pressie. I don't think that's fair as I earned that award by suffering the Lady Gaga humiliation. I deserve real pressies from Santa Paws. Pawrents just don't understand.

I see the dogs have embraced the traditional Yankee swap! ;)

Hi, Mango and Dexter!
You got very nice presents! And you two made your own exchange! Good!
Does Jarrod suffers that doofus illness??
Kisses and hugs

Mango, Dude. Those are seriously good looking cookies! Nice pressies too. Shamus has one of those stuffie looking wubbies too, same color. It does not squeak, does yours??
pee ess poor momma. bet a snowblower is heavy!

Marjie said...

No pressies? NO PRESSIES??? Come to my house, Mango. I have youthful humans who appreciate a good Mastiff, even if Momma claims to be old and tired. I have wished for cookies, a bone, and new fun toys. I chose our Christmas Tree last weekend, and you can see a picture of me helping Patrick drive his truck. He needs help, I'm sure. I need to woof my boys into finishing the decorations now, so the pressies will come!

Merry Christmas, Mango and Dexter!

dewdana said...

I totally agree with the no presents thing. Anyone with their own credit card gets no pressies as far as I am concerned! Doggies do not fall into this category though so I am glad your pals came through for you! Is one of those stuffies a moose? Maybe it is a reindeer but I like to think it is a moose!
Speaking of Moose, he is wondering when to expect pee wee and the truckload of snow. If it will sweeten the deal you can tell pee wee our pressies for dogs policy!

Maggie and Mitch said...

We can't believe your mom and dad are not giving you guys a single thing for Christmas! Thank doG Benny and Dory and Bilbo came through for you and Dexter, Mango!

Love ya lots,

Hey Mango,
I got the same yellow behive from Lily. I think mine is a blast but then I have a smaller mouth (no offense BOL) than you do and I can pull out each bee!!

Glad you liked your stuff!!

Fiona, as typed by Dr. Liz said...

I, too, have that beehive thingy, and I love it, because with my delicate snooter and paws, I am able to get out things that have been stuffed into the beehive... But NO PRESSIES?!? Are your parents sick? I mean, the DOH got a snow mover thingy - if she gets a nifty pressie like that, I think you should get all sorts of nifty pressies. If I had known earlier, I would have had Mom put together a care package for you guys! The horror!!!

Big Guy and PeeWee:

Here is the deal, our pawrents are using the recession as an excuse not to buy presents for each other or for us. Plus they buy each other presents all the time anyway.
And they buy us presents very rarely. So I think we should get a few things for Christmas this year. I want a new squeaky toy, thats about all I want. Complain to Santa Claws!

The OP Pack said...

Don't worry, Mango, we are sure Santa is bringing lots of presents for you and for Mango. You both got some nice ones there from Benny, Dory, and Bilbo. We have a purple snugga wubba just like that here.

Hope the Mom's twitchies stop and she feels better.

My humans are also signed on for the no gift Christmas. Clearly the world has gone mad! Thank goodness for doggie friends who know we are meant to be showered with stuffies more than usual this month.

You are quite welcome. Enjoy your new stuff. You are a good guy for sharing. Hopefully Santa is watching you share.

If your momma doesn't give you any presents for Christmas, you should report her to the MSPCA for extreme cruelty to animals. So glad you were in the present exchange so you got nice cookies and stuffes. Enjoy.

Is that one of those beehive toys? I wanted to buy one for Marge, but was afraid the little bees were too small. If you can use them, though, I think she can too!

Hope your mom feels better. My back is killing me after all the shoveling yesterday.

A Wubba in a winter coat - that looks like good fun. Or do you think this is what happens when a stuffie and a Wubba love each other very much?

Your pal,

P.S. No presents with my name on them except for one from Buddy. Seems like Mom thinks my overflowing pot of Christmas-themed toys is quite enough. Bah humbug.

Frankie Furter said...

Hi Guys, you both got grrreat pressies. Have fun... sharing is a nice thing, esp. at Santa Paws time. I'm just sayin'.

I'm with you on wanting of the presents! This is my first go around with the holiday of Christmas and I want all that goes with it. Looks like you got nice gifts from your secret paw, was it. I bet the family will be sad to see your presents and them not having any to open. Oh well, that was their choice.

Twinkietinydog said...

Well, Mango, your post was as stimulating as usual. First off, I'm sorry to hear your mom's arms are about to fall off. Hopefully that won't hinder the holiday cooking any. Not only did I enjoy watching you and Dexter trading presents, I also got to meet your gift bearers and they're cool. Do let Dexter enjoy his chew toys in peace once in a while. He needs them so he can be strong enough to deal with Your Excellence.
