Daycare Day!

Tuesdays I get to go to daycare!

Are we there yet?

Yup, here we are.

There is squirt bottle lady and the greet dog. Enough! Let's go!

See the little corgi? She is very dignified. Kind of like OC. Excuse the fence in these photos, but they need to keep the moms and dads out somehow.

There are a ton of black labradogs like me there. Momma has a hard time spotting me.

There's an Airedale running up from the back play area. So many different doggies! Some of them don't really like to play like the dog in the far left background. They are shy, but they get lots of love.

Momma says Raja didn't like to play either, but she really liked to go and just hang out there and watch the action, so I don't feel sad when I see doggies who prefer to sit things out.

This place is HUGE! And there are things to climb on and a friend for just about everybody.

We made a movie of some of the action. You can watch it here.

It takes us 40 minutes to get to daycare from the estate and then momma drives another half hour to get to the work place. She doesn't really mind because it is a nice peaceful ride through wooded areas and it gives her some much needed time to think.

Around noontime we all go into the nap room and have a cookie and a snooze. This is important to keep doggies from getting overtired and cranky. The nap room is also available for any doggie who needs a time out.

We go back in the nap room at the end of the day and I usually conk right out, but I wake up again when I hear momma's voice.

On the way home we go past this weird traffic light. I am not sure why it flashes and strobes like that, but it does get your attention.

Given how long a ride it is, we get home kind of late and I am STARVING! Hurry up and let me in! Of course the RH is happy to see me and is usually waiting at the door.

Nom, nom, nom.

Dexter done!

Hey Dexter,
Looks like you had a fun day at daycare. So many doggies!! Hmmmph, all I had in my yard today were deer. We could get within 20 feet of them & talk. They didn't even stand up. Just laying there watching us, then they went back to snoozing when we went into the house. Does Mango get jealous about you going to daycare? bet he sniffs you all over when you get home, hehehehe.

Dexter! We LOVES it when your mom posts up your adventures at the doggie day care.

So, we couldn't help but notice the big ass pooper scooper the girl was carrying around. Whoa, there must be some serious poop going on in there with all those pooches. Speaking of which, you could almost get away with anything with all those other black labs with ya. Just blame whatever you do on one of them!

Tell your mom thanks for the puggle shot at the end of your video. We likes seeing the smushy faces.

Pee Ess, did you know that Mango isn't too happy about you taking over the blog? Just a heads up, better get going on a good explanation before he gets back.

Dexter, this was a wonderful post, but I'm obsessing over a certain fact. How many hours does your mom's day have? Hat off!

Dexter, how come you can go to Daycare and Mango does not?

That's a great doggie daycare... so huge and so many furiends to play with. I guess the long trip is worth it. Did you teach the rest your excellent agility skills?

Dexter, that daycare looks like LOTS of fun!! So many fun doggies! We felt sorry for the shy shepherd....We have Jeter on a waiting list for a nice day care but there are so many doggies there that he is on a waiting list. Of us 4 dogs, Jeter LOVES to play and needs the kind of day care you enjoy. We want to go drive around and find a cool traffic light like that wild flashing red one you get to see!! Hugs, Toby, Ginger, Jeter and Halle xoxo

Dexter, you really live the life! I am really enjoying your adventures every day. I think if I got to go to daycare that I would have a lot of fun! Blueberry and Lilac don't play much during the day.

Wow..that looks kinda cool. Maybe I should make the muzzer get a job again so I can go to daycare.

Oh dear. That set Jake into "regressive" mode. That's when he paces chained linked fences and gazes out. Ignores the rest of the world. We think it has something to do with his history, but he checks out so far when we does it, that he won't let on to what's going on in his head.

It's good to see that most doggies enjoy being at a daycare. Including you.

We're thinking you might need to access some of these happy memories in a few days, when RH gets back and sees what you've done to the blog.

Just warnin' ya.
We'd offer to help, but we'd be no good.

All day with that bunch would sure make me need some serious nap time!

I'm glad you get to go and have fun together. Does anybody play ball or wubba with you?

Good going, Peewee!

Dex, You are labrADORABLE! (tell your DOH she can use that one.)

we had a lab named Moosh. we'd call him Mooshed Potatoes, Mooshu Pork, Mooshalini, Mooshippotomis (he was almost RH big for a lab) and many more. I don't know why I'm sharing. guess cuz you're a lab.

I like your blog name. RH is probably gonna change it after Mango Minster though. Maybe you can convince him to name it Mango AND Dex's Great Adventures...but here's the thing...tell him you want to name it Dex's and Mango's Great Adventures. When RH refuses, you can then tell him you'll settle for the first. This is called negotiating. And I'll bet the RH brain doesn't have much room for that kind of thinking. :)

wow Dexter - lucky you to get to go to doggie daycare - we don't have that here in Denmark. We should! That would make my momma feel much better when she's at work.
I am just all alone at home and somehow getting in so much trouble:o)My latest trick is to open a big sideboeard with sliding doors, and LOTS of stuff in it! Great fun. Especially when someone comes home and their faces look all twisted :o))

Can I get a job there rounding up the doggies for their nap times?

Your daycare looks like much fun. Before I got too old I got to go to daycare and I was known for relentlessly hounding the labs.

You know, if you made puppies with that corgi do you know what you would get? WALLIES!!!! I highly recommend it.

Hi Dexter,
We liked the look of your day care - we don't know of any in the UK.
We reckon one of us would love us and one of us would be arguing with other dogs!
It must be a very good place to play and socialise and the fact that they dont let the humans in is good.
Kinda means you are all on the same terms - you know how humans can complicate things for us dogs.
We wonder what you mom is thinking about on her drive to work........we reckon we know at the moment!
Thanks for showing us this interesting part of your life.
love and kisses

I have never seen traffic lights like that! So weird...

That daycare place looks kind of ok, but man that is a lot of dogs. Do they let you hump???

mastertealc said...

Tealc's mom @ Joe Stains: "Do they let you hump" - that made my, otherwise quite bad so far, day!!! LOL

Dexter - Teal'c here... Your daycare looks pawsome! So many dogs aren't in my daycare place and we don't have those plastic castles either but the rest sounds familiar. Longer drive for my mom just to provide me with some fun AND the passing out at the end...
