Mango Isn't Such a Bad Guy... Really

Please check the list of entries in the sidebar on the MM site. If you sent one in and you don't see your name posted within 24 hours, leave a comment because it seems that our internets ate at least one entry.

If you live in Master Chew Sits, don't forget to vote today! It is a very important election.

Here is what I had originally wanted to post today;

That is the last I am going to mention about that dumb dog show. If you want to see what is going on there, you will just have to check for yourself (I know for a fact that momma is helping the RH to post many days with "exciting" updates), but

I think this photo sums up my thoughts on the topic of Mango Minster.

But then I got to thinking and, you know, that Mango isn't really such a bad guy. I mean he is fun to play bitey with and he is always really happy to see me when I get home from daycare and if there is an intruder alert he is right there to back me up (provided I wake him up first).

Plus it was his idea that I take the time while he is busy with Mango Minster to do some of my own posts and if I liked it maybe I can post more often after the show.

He even offered to be my personal trainer for Biggie's Dog Pile Contest if I would help him with prepare for Niamh's Trickie Dog Contest.

To start with, he said I have to enter a nice meditative state and instructed me to get into my bed.

Then he sent his meditative vibes my way... getting sleepy...

When I was ready, he put something easy on me. It was really hard to stay focused and it gave me a new respect for his dog pile skills.

He thought I was ready to go to the next level and went to choose a starter stuffie from the toy basket.

I came out of my trance almost immediately. I can see I will need to train hard. I am going to enter even if I can't get a ton of stuff on me, because it is good to learn new skills.

Thanks, big guy!

Dexter done!

P.S. I won't always know when The Relentlessly Huge has posted updates to the MM bloggy, so please do keep track of it, OK?

Mango looks like an excellent dogpile trainer- maybe he could come help Moose. I have not tried but doubt he possesses the meditation skills necessary for this contest!

Dexter, I think you are off to a very good start with your dog pile practice. That meditating business is hard.
You are also very lucky to have a big brother to watch out for you and play with you.

You are a good little brother. Keep up the good work with your training. I know you can do it. Mack told me I could have chicken if I remained still. It worked for me. I know you love your big brother, and he loves you very much.

Keep working at it, Dexter, we are sure you can get lots more piled on top of you. But be careful - with that super shiny coat you have, those things might just slide off.

Awwwww Dexter - really sweet post about the great RH!!! He can show you so much - great that you spent the time needed for him to get into his meditations - you look great with that pile of toys aboard!

About sweet time you figured it out. I guess you needed to be left alone for a while first, huh? Absence makes the heart grow fonder and the Pee-Wee mature. You're probably not going to like this, but I need to ask for a huge favor. Could you please tell Mango that he needs not fret about my posts? I know how busy he is (actually I saw lots of photos of him sleeping today) and I'm excusing him. I'll get him caught up later. I'll always xoxoxo my big slobber bear, oh, and you too Dexter! I do love your posts very much.

Biggie-Z said...

Hey little dude, you gotta start somewhere. Yes, Mango is exactly the right coach to have for meditations, which are really important for DogPile!!

I am going to have to work on my training picture for Niamh's event. Attentiveness and a really "sparky" training picture usually are the opposite skills from those needed for DogPIle.

Oh, and good luck with the election in Master Chew Sits.

Your buddy, Biggie

Oh Dexter, I just noticed the header picture on the bloggy!

Hey, Dexter - we love hearing from you. tell Mango to let you pop on the blog when you have something to say. That's what I let Maisie do. Sort of gives you a break too, and then I tell her what to say and she does it! HA!
Your pal, Morgan

You are absolutely right, Dexter! How can you learn a new skill if you avoid the issue! Mango was a super nice brother to help you with the dog pile contest! I'm going to be a good sissy and try to help Mitch! Thanks, Dex! You're very smart for a Labradork!

Love ya lots,
