More Snow! WEEE!

Here's something I bet you didn't know about my dopey brother.

He gets to ride in the car to run errands all the time and I almost never do. Why? Because sitting in the back of the car like some big old bag of cement is one of the few "activities" that actually excites him enough to get out of bed.

Plus, he completely hogs the back and if I try to ride with him he forces me into the corner as if I have cooties or something. Not fun. Subsequently, I don't always get to go on fun socializing adventures because whenever the car keys come out HE goes all cute and bouncy and Momma says, "Oh, Dexter, I need to take Mango because he loves his rides so much." Do you believe it?

We got some icky wet snow this morning so instead of walkies, I had to go outside and help clear the deck and potty paths.

The Relentlessly Duh Where is My Bottom is seen here showing how he "helps" with the snow clearing. Once his feet hit the shovel he totally FREAKS and gets paralyzed like his backsides have somehow fallen off the edge of the earth.

Of course he wouldn't have this problem if he didn't always insist on backing up at the most inconvenient moments.

The snow is fun for me. I am always up for some athletic playtime regardless of the weather.

Ignore my brother in this picture. Obviously his "brain" is confused with trying to execute a U-turn so he can go back inside.

I even got zoomies! Going...

And coming!

I try to run as fast as I can to knock Momma over when she is kneeling down to take my picture. She got up just in the nick of time here. But I will keep working on my technique.

Once inside, I politely resume my position in bed, but ever alert to the possibility of more fun for ME!

Dexter done!

P.S. For those RH fans, there is something new on the dumb Mango Minster blog, I think.

man that looks like a fun play time! I think you should get to go on more car rides

Dexter! I totally empathize with you, most of the time. But I have to tell you something. I am impressed that he can back up. I can't walk backwards at all. I also wish we had an RH to go on car rides with mom instead of me, because I really hate the car. Mind you, she only puts me in it when she wants to take me somewhere, like the big park.

Dexter,

You're a labradude after my heart! I understand all your trials and tribulations living with the Huge One. Imagine having two older siblings to deal with! It's tough!

Dexter,
I think you should demand equal car rides!!! Tell mom that she needs to be fair about all this ride situation.

Otherwise you may really knock her off her socks next time ROFL

Have fun

Hi Dexter. Although it is a real delight to see more of you (and congrats on the new snow!), I do think you might be being a teeny weeny little bit harsh about your brother...

We are so jealous - you got more SNOW - and ours is disappearing while the fog blocks us from seeing the Snow Thief coming along.

Be careful, don't knock Mom over - those ROTE jaunts do bring you some good treats. You don't want to hurt her or anything.

Woos, the OP Pack

Yeah, okay, go on and keep complaining about my RH friend. I hope you understand that I can't fully support you in this. As for the car rides, I'm really confused. If I were your mum I'd invite you and save on gas.

I think you need to make some SIGNS. Yep, they work at my house. I put them up and then put on my most pitiful face. It ALWAYS causes behavioral changes that bring much happiness to ME!!
S I G N S.... put your "concerns" on paper... Lots and lots of paper EVERYWHERE.
I'm just sayin'.

My favorite part of zoomies is charging at the humans at a high rate of speed too. What's not to love about that, I ask you?

I so LOVE snow zoomies! And since TaiChi HATES the car, I get to go on the ROTEs, too. So have fun running around in the snow while the RH tries to figure out how to turn around and go back inside! ;-)

Wet or not, tat new snow looks a lot better than the yucj we have here!! When a foot melts, then refreezes, we get about two inches of snow with a crust of ice over it. Slippery like you wouldn't believe, and then your paws fall though when you least expect. No fun, and certainly no zoomies out there!! Enjoying your posts, Dexter dude!!

Dexter, if you're really going to take over this blog I think you need to change its name! You're giving your large brother all the credit here..

Dex..
Snow zoomies are the best. EVEN Tula will get them... well for about 5 minutes then it's zzzz land for the entire day. Oh.. we go Hudson High School The river trail is there and huge baseball fields and that track. The track can be closed there is an immediate gate on the track field on one side and the other side it's up along an enbankment entry way (but it can be closed) You should see if your the high schools near you have a similar set up or use the tennis courts.

We liked seeing your fun in the snow - great zoomies.
We are glad our snow has melted for the moment - it lets the humans get out and clear up after us!

Dexter, you looked like you were having the best time in that pretty snow!! I would love to see my low dogs running in the snow... I bet they'd hate it. Cold bellies are only good in the summer time when you can find a tile floor!

dewdana said...

The only good thing about ROTE is the car cookies if you ask me. He is just acting like it is the most exciting thing ever to make you jealous. Big brothers will do that! Being driven around town sealed up with Mango farts sounds like no fun.
Nice zoomies. I bet you will get momma one of these days!
