ROTE and Ice Movie

Regular ROTE is necessary to insure that there are always ample foodables and what not available for the Mango. I insist on going whenever possible to direct momma to the appropriate stops lest she get confused.

For example, on our most recent ROTE here I am expressing disapproval over a stop at the library. I advised her to wear a disguise since she is on their most wanted list due to a whimsical disregard for overdue notices.

As you can observe from this photo, we did eventually find our way to the doggie store where I was rewarded with my usual car cookie.

And then homeward bound.

Please excuse my lipstick, but I find the ROTE to be a most stimulating activity.

Back at the estate, I attempted to revive myself with a nice sun bake, but was rudely disrupted by the labradork messing about with my ice cube as you can see from this movie.

Did you notice in the movie that momma planted our holiday tree in the corner? I don't have the heart to tell her that it might not grow very well over there.

Mango Man! Oh yeah!

P.S. ROTE = Running of the Errands. A most fun activity for sure.

Mom tries to give us those ice cube things every so often but we don't like them - we'd rather have water, especially if it has some dirt and other gunk in it!

Later today I'll be posting about my swimming school for labradors - it'll be a must read!

your bud,
Sam (and Pippen too!)

My momma makes the errands come to us. She says it's hard to move food for 11 people. I think she likes to make other people come visit me.

I feel it necessary to comment on the... camera angles. One can not help BUTT notice that Dexter's "less photogenic" side seems to be the most chosen focal point here. I wonder if 'SOMEONE' is trying to say that he is an ... ....? I'm just sayin'.

It looks so fun that you got to go along. And it looks like you get the entire back of the car for yourself.

We used to have a bowl for water on the deck until TD constantly knocked it over. So Mom said, Forget the water. That ice cube looks like a lot of fun. And we think that is the closest we have ever seen Pee Wee come to actually using the stairs.

ROTE seems to be an activity with not much activity from you Mango? How supersmart of you. How did you train your legged one to do that? Oh Mom had the library Police after her too. I had to escort her to the library today with the offending book. Know what? They waved the fine beacause of the bad weather. Haaa! Mom was wagging.

Unlike my FURIOUS AND FIERCESOME MINI ME. He wants to bark. Something about your Westminster Dog Contest and the comment you left last year on my bloggie when he tried to enter......

MANGO@S COMMENT:_ - You inspire me! Maybe next year I'll have to have a special Wheelie group! Wheelies are certainly curious, what with no (um) parts and those big behinds.

Boy oh Boy. He's wheely WHEELY MAD. UH.OH.OOHHHH NOOOOOOO...... h ...e...l.....

We always feel smarter after reading your posts, Mango. Today we left with two new vocabulary words. ROTE and lipstick. We'll remember those for sure.

Our favorite part? Your big happy stretch and the nice tail thunks that accompanied it. You seemed like a big gentle teddy bear.

Your pals. Who still haven't figured out if we fit in a Mango Minster category.
Jake and Fergi (definitely NOT insane cracker dogs - at least not in OUR opinion)

I'm impressed, Mango. You do move around a lot in this video. What's up with that? BTW ever since you mentioned Dexter's entering the Dog Pile contest, I've gotten my hopes up that there will be an amateur division.

i saw Pee Wee walkin' his momma today! Beep Beep!

Stella, Gunther & Betty said...

HA! Thanks for the clarification of ROTE. Mom's pea brain would have still been trying to figure it out come breakfast time. And since the jury is still out on her ability to multi-task, that could have been a bad thing.

MAX said...

Hey there Mango buddy
That is a crazy video!
But now we are see, here in this country we live like desert elephants - we can find water when there none seems to be around, but we would be clueless as to how to solve the problem when one's water bowl freezes over!?!
Please let us 'hot climate types' know how it's done....simply facinating!
Take care and lotsalicks

ROTE eh? That's an interesting term (in Scotland we call it 'doing the messages'). An even more interesting term, however, is 'car cookie'. That is a concept which I have not yet come across, but will attempt to introduce to this household!
