Happy Barnaversary to Master!

Alert Readers will recall that it was one year ago today that Master and Momma came home from work to discover that our local fire department had come to call because our barn looked like this!

And this!

And this!

And the next day when the sun came out it looked like this! Eeesh!

What a mess! We were even on the news. Hehehe. That video has the fiyah mahshall speaking Bawston.

Master had built the barn himself when he and Momma moved to the estate 12 years ago and was so sad because not only was it a fine building, but it had a lifetime's worth of tools and stuff inside that were all gone. The good news is that we were all OK and nothing bad happened to our house.

Pretty soon, a big monster machine came and ate what was left of the barn because it was a "total loss."

Naturally, I, Mango, was ready to lend a paw with the reconstruction.

But it was frustrating at times given that Master put a fence up around the constructions site.

I was really worried when I saw that my simple minded Master had accidentally built the new walls flat on the ground.

So I set out some tool time bait and in no time had attracted enough manly men to do a barn raising.

Ta da!

The walls went up fast and Master was able to start replacing the big equipment.

I continued to be quite vocal in my directions for proper building techniques even when I had to yell!

Jarrod and Evil Rick did a lot of the heavy lifting what with Master being ancient and whatnot.

Even Hector helped out.

We had lots of nice weather for Jarrod to do his painting.

I like that Jarrod dude. We are totally pals.

Now the upstairs of the new barn is a nice storage area.

Master has all new equipment which Jarrod and Mickey helped him arrange just so.

See? Good as new!

And this is what the barn looks like today! I spend a lot of time in there assisting Master and absorbing the heat from the wood stove.

Mango Man! Oh yeah!

P.S. If you are interested in more constructions photos, you can see all my barn building posts by clicking here.

OMD Mango! I remember reading your bloggie way back then. That was so scary and upsetting when it happened.

I am so happy that Master and his most helpful friends have built a new masterpiece. It's just stunning!

Wow that looks like it was a lot of work!

Stella said...

Congrats to the Master and HIs crew for putting up such a grand TWO story building. Uh, why did they paint it pink? You don't usually think of that as a guy color.

Anyway, it looks great and Happy Barnaversary to one and all, including you and Peewee.

Jake of Florida said...

That was a nice review of history. And it only served to confirm that without RHM, you would still have a flat barn and no Barnaversary to celebrate.

So hip hip hooray for Mango the Master Builder. ("Can we buld it? Yes, we can!!!) And a few happy woofs of congratulation to the two-legged Master and his crew.

Wirey love,

Jake and Just Harry

Holy Barnburners! We didn't know you back then, but what a catastrophe! Did you ever find out what caused the fire to start? Your dad is AWESOME at building barns! Do you think you could send him to Illinois?

I am horribly shamed to admit that my mom watched the Evil Rick video, not once, but twice and cackled like a fool the whole time! My condolences on all you've had to endure!

Oh my gosh, we didn't know you back then and didn't realize that was the reason you were building a new barn. So terrible! My human Dad is very jelly of your new barn. He dreams of having an "out building" as they call it here. You did a beautiful job on your rebuild!

Happy Barn-o-versary Mango and Family! We were so scared when we heard about the fire and it has been much entertainment watching what you were capable of accomplishing when you applied your Mastiff sized brain to the task of a new barn!! How dare your Momma go big dog. Obviously when she gave birth to you she must have understood the conditions. Cater to every Mango whim!

PS: I do miss the sun, not as much as mommy, cause I have FRESH SNOW to play in!!

Wow, seeing your barn on fire made us sad Mango. But you're right, the important thing is that no one was hurt.

It's quite the impressive barn. The parent's neighbor (who doesn't have a very nice dad) has one similar to that that he calls his 'man cave'. Eh, as far as we're all concerned, he can stay there.
