Historical Walkie Movies and Some RH Action

Momma thought it would be fun for the humans to do a tour of our historical district on walkies. We shot some really loooong movies and she thought about posting them on separate days, but decided to just do it all at once, so sit back and enjoy.

Just a warning that you will need about 15 minutes to watch them both, but if you like looking at old stuff the time will fly by. I also managed to intersperse some cool agility moves and the RH appears in the end of the second movie.

Here you go;

Dexter's Historical Walkie Part I
Dexter's Historical Walkie Part II (this one has more ME and less old stuff)

Try to ignore the slobbers on the lens (which I did NOT put there) as well as the constant rush of traffic sounds (which we are kind of used to by now).

The RH tried to interfere with my posting day by demonstrating his stupid walking around the yard. Well, as you can see, I soon put a stop to that! There will be no Mango movies on Dexter day!

I coaxed him out of obedient robot dog into ACTION MASTIFF with my irresistible good times labramoves.

Oh ho ho! Boing! Boing!

If I cut that corner any tighter, I'd jack knife, but I know my limits.

Guess he's tired now...

No worries. While we were at the beauty parlor yesterday, Momma washed the beds in the dog cave and fluffed up the pillows. I don't mind grabbing a little shut eye on the dog cave beds when they haven't been all flattened out by the beastie.

Dexter done!

P.S. As long as this is a movie intensive day, I want to share this that one of my pals posted (sorry I forgot who). Just watch it. You won't be sorry.

Very nice walkies! I miss living in the NE. I grew up in the suburbs of DC but there was old stuff around at least. Florida... not so much! I went to a Montessori school when I was little and I don't really recall the outside but I think I would if it had looked like that one!
I enjoyed Mango's singing at the end. Very mournful! Pee wee should be charged with contributing to the delinquency of a mastiff for interrupting good dog attentions practice though ;-)

That was one awesome tour, Dexter! I love how you kept Mango from stealing your show, too! I think you need more than one day though, labradude! Mom and I are both still laughing over that last video!

Now that was really cool Dexter. Mom and Louie watched the entire thing. She likes that old stuff.. She will have to tell Dad about it. He like historic stuff too.. When Mom stayed in Burlington a few years ago for work she went to Lexington and check out all the historical homes there. She met a nice older man that actually did tours of the old homes. Mom was just sitting on a bench in the commons area and he asked her to sit next to him. She enjoyed her free tour...
Great action shots Dex and Mango..
Hey Mom wants to tell you thank you so much for the cold box magnets. We are sure it will keep the Pest away for good...

That was a lot of fun! Our mom served herself a nice big bowl of Fritos chips to enjoy while watching the movies and we got NOTHING! She said she imagined that back in the olden days that area in front of what is now the Montessori school was probably where the horse and carriages pulled up to unload their fancy guests.

Thank you so much for the great tour and there is nothing like Home Sweet Home at the end with a happy Mango waiting at the door!!

Ooh, Mango - I like your movie if you walking around your yard with your Momma, although Hsin-Yi is making evil faces and grumbling that you shouldn't have been allowed to just run off like that with Dexter because it teaches you that you can ignore your Momma when you feel like it and just get away with it. She says it would be better to keep you on lead or keep you off lead but put Dexter away (or in a Down Stay (tied up) - practise his training too at the same time! Like Wild Dingo) so that you can concentrate on your walking and get it good...when you have been doing it a while and can ignore things better, then you can try again with Dexter loose but at the moment, that is just setting you up to fail and also learn that you can break away from walking with your Momma at anytime, which is the complete opposite of what you are supposed to be learning!

Well, that is what Hsin-Yi says but I think you walked beautifully and majestically! I love the shot of your big head next to your Momma's knee.

OK - am off now to watch the looong movies...

Mom really enjoyed your videos. They bring back lots of memories of her days spent in Western Mass. and her visit to the Boston area. Those historic homes are just so beautiful.

We love tours of other places. Thanks for showing us Dexter mate.
D is so looking forward to seeing Massachusetts. She loves the old churches and village greens. Wow, your town is 300 years old. Ours is much younger...established around 1881. Our town is a baby.

As it takes over half and hour for a 2 min. movie to load, I'm sorry to say that Grammy wouldn't let us take over her computer for that long, but we love the pics and the shorts! Better be careful turning like that on the snow... we've heard it is really slippery!

How nice to have clean fluffy beds to come in and snuggle up on in a nice warm house after playing out in the snow... I guess... we still haven't even seen the stuff yet! (Pouty corgi puppy faces!!!) The CCC Pups

Oh Dexter, my Mama LOVED the video that you and your Mama made. She hasn't been anywhere in Master Chew Sits in a long time, but went to college there like a million years ago and really misses all the history.

Thank you Mango/Dexter Mama for making my Mama start the day with such big smileys!!

We only hope when it all thaws that you guys don't have a tsoo nami...is that somethin' like salami? We adore salami....

Hi Dexter, we had some problems with some of the videos but did manage to get the conclusion.
We loved seeing all those old houses and the detailing.
The best part though was you walking on the wall!
We didn't know you did tricks on your sightseeing tours.
Great post.

yup! just saw the movie! wow... YUP that DEX is EVIL! booowahaha!

but when heel means heel, it doesn't matter if it's godzilla attacking, he should heel. like you said, shoulda had the leash so you can give him a wet leash whipping! booowahahaha! i love when dogs are around distracting me. it's perfect. you'd love my trainer at the k9 clinic. sometimes dogs go cracker and those that are staying in heel or in downs or sits while another crackers around get lots of praise!

can't wait to see other movies!

but mango man! you can't take THAT from DEX, i understand...BUT wouldn't it be cool if dex boy tries to rile you up and you're like "you're so boring, go away little man while i stay with my DOH master, who's like 100x better than you!" that would really bug Dex! Mango Man! stay with momma! she'll show you who's the good doggie!

speaking from the spandex crowd (bike rider), i'd say they are a heck of a lot of less noise pollution than ethical bike riders (ethical being, non littering, respectful, etc...)

neat walkie tour so far!

Where's your MA accent? geesh...the least you could do is provide me with a little reminder of my roots! (ok, CT, not MA, but close enough)...

shot of whiskey and at tatoo! that's so funny! i wish we were neighbors...

I totally miss the east coast homes and layout. Mr. WD is from CA and is familiar with the whacky layout of houses here (2 inches from eachother). I miss all the land. yes, we live on a large piece of property, but it's mountain, not flat and all woods. Sigh. except for the cold, New England is a cool place.

love the agility breaks. and we had a Montessori school in Simsboring, i mean Simsbury...
