Low Speed Chase and Brief Zoomies

Thanks to our friend, Honey, The Relentlessly Huge and I are now in possession of TWO of these wonderful cow milky chew toys all the way from New Zealand!

Of course due to some large mouthed creatures around here, these toys (like a disappointingly large number of "our" toys) are kept hidden away, only to be brought out under supervision. Sigh.

Well, at least with two, there is one for Mango...

And one for ME! Hand it over, woman!

Alert readers know that one of my key jobs is to provide the Relentlessly Torpid with activities so that he stays in shape, so I immediately engaged him in a game of keep away.

High Speed Chase is really not part of his vocabulary and he was quickly reduced to looking on forlornly while I enjoyed the toy.

I did point out to him that "two" means one for him if he is too tired for chase and conveniently placed it right under his over sized snooter.

Anybody home?

At my wits end, I resorted to bitey face. Go Mango, go!

Not forgetting to throw in some evasive moves intended to help the big guy practice his flexibility.

I think I finally got through to him because afterwards he became quite jaunty with his cow milky toy thingie.

And left me in peace to enjoy mine.

For an action packed movie of all the "fun" click here. Don't worry if you lack high speed internets because frankly, we could have just stuck with still photos given the glacial movements of the Relentlessly Stationary.

Dexter Done!

Hi Mango and Dexter! We just got home from watching the start of the Iditarod -- your high speed chase was so much fun to watch after seeing all those lethargic (not) dogs in downtown Anchorage.... xoxoxo Toby, Ginger, Jeter and Halle

Your are such a good brother to help Mango with his exercise routine Dexter. Too bad you don't live nearby because we could have a great high speed chase together.

What fun times! I think I saw your Chicago dopplegangers today. A huge Mango and a black labradude were walking down the street near our house. And this was just after I saw "Benny and Lily" tied up by a coffeeshop. Doppleganger Lily even snapped at Mr. B., so they were probably the evil twin versions. I wish I had my camera with me.

You goy that movie in right before the academy awards..good job

We saw Honey with that toy, and thought it was a great item! It was nice of her to send you two of them. And, Dexter, don't forget we huge guys have a lot more bulk to move than you. We have to work hard at doing the same stuff as you!

Those cow toys look great fun! We read all about them on Honey's blog the other day when she was out playing with her new pal!

We put some photos up tonight of the NSLM and me enjoying our opening our parcel from you yesterday!

Thanks again for the wonderful prizes - the NSLM is very proud of the medal and trophy - both have pride of place in his bedroom!

take care

So did you try to trick us and shoot the first half of the video in slo-mo?:) The polka portion was great, looks a lot like Ciara and TD playing horse with each other. At one point it looked like Mango was going to catapult Dexter across the yard with one flip of his head under Dexter's tummy.

Woos, Phantom, Thunder, and Ciara

Dexter you did a great job helping Mango to play! I'm off to watch the video.

These cow milky things seem to be all the rage. I remember reading about them somewhere else and the doggies went nuts for them.

PS - I have not seen Bosom Buddies - before my time - but have heard good things about it! Will try to get my hands on some old episodes. I'll take all the Tom Hanks I can get.

I had to come back to say that was one funny video. Are you sure the filming camera wasn't set on slow motion???

Dexter, you have done a wonderful job there of ensuring that the RH has exercise! Well done.
When we first saw the pics of those cow milky thingies we thought they looked like microphones.
We anticipated that you and Mango would burst into song and audition for the X Factor!
Of course we know you would win, paws down!

I always look forward to your relentlessly entertaining movies and this one did not let us down! It's clear that you, Mango, just adore your bro (and the toy he just happens to have, even tho you have the very same?) and filming the progression of the steps is fun for us. Not sure how it is for you two(s) Mama, but she is a furry good sport - always. I think that's how you both get all the exercise you need heheh! We just love you both!
Big Hugs xoxoxo

Hi Dexter and Mango,

I live in New Zealand and have one of those cow things too. I get so excited when I see it because I get to fetch it, and tug on it, and chew it. It's a great toy and I'm sure you will have lots of fun playing with your ones.

Hehehe, pretty good chase video. Now how come those milk thingies aren't black & white like a moomoo cow?? What do they taste like? Hmmmm, better go investigate those. I might need some in the near future.
Have a great Sunday!

I think Abby and the RH have been conferring - because with Abby, "two" seems to mean "one to steal from Fiona" and "one to leave on the floor forgotten". Sheesh. Siblings...
