Mango Movie Review

Last night we watched a movie called 2012.

I didn't think too much of it until a little doggie appeared who looked just like Pumpkin!

In fact I was sure it was her, she being a famous model and all until the scene where she got all wet which I know would totally have been done by a stunt double because the real Pumpkin would never ever let her furs get messed up like that.

Anyhoo, I found this really cool web site that tells you all about actor and actress doggies in movies and how they play their parts. Check it out! Here is the link for the doggie who was not Pumpkin, but could have been.

I thought the doggie who was not Pumpkin did a great job. I am not sure if it was a boy or a girl because I could not see it's equipment, but he/she showed a great range of emotion and did some most scary stunts for sure (and I was really happy that the doggie did not get hurt because I get kind of upset if dogs are in peril in movies even though I know they are just acting).

Other than that, not much going on here except that stupid PeeWee totally messed up one of my beds and now I just cannot get comfortable.

Mango Man! Oh yeah!

P.S. Momma says that movie was kind of disappointing because the plot was way too predictable and the special effects were too crowded. Whatever.

Have you thought about making your dog model debut? Your leg pose on that bed looks very romance novel cover-esque.

The movie might have benefited from some pantyloons and maybe a fluffy tail?

MANGO... gee you and Dexter could become Movie Critics... call yourselves... Mango & Dipstick. Make tons of green paper and plastics...
I'm just sayin'.

Are you and Dexter going to be in the movies? I bet you'd be great at it! I'd try it myself, since Mom says I can be a drama queen, but I am afraid it would interrupt her napping schedule!

Our humans saw 2012 and although it was very depressing, they thought the leads were really well done.

Mango - that is one awesome pic of you.

My mom doesn't want to watch the 2012 movie cuz she gets kinda freaked out about the whole end of the world dealie. But I am Most Glad to know that nothing bad happens to the doggie that isn't Pumpkin. It always makes me nervous watching movies with doggies in 'em cuz I'm worried something might happen to 'em. So that is a very much great relief.

And I very much like your picture. It shows off your Most Awesome Brindleness real good!

Hey Mango dear Bud'
I haven't seen that movie - probably will only get here in 2012? Judging from your review it might be a good one to seeing wet dogs!
Anyway glad to see that your large and handsome self is as large and handsome as ever! I loved that slobber wrap around PeeWee's snout the other day - the image lives on!
So, now that you have done the movie review - perhaps the next step is the Oscars!?!

Licks to my buddies

(ps your word verification was 'unkinda'...and I don't like being unkind!) BOL!...and so they gave me another one...BOL!

Was 2012 the movie about the end of the world? It seems like all people are talking about these days is that silly Mayan prediction!

Thanks for the movie review!

We like the idea that Frankie Furter had about you and "Dipstick" being Movie Critics! That sounds kind of interesting and we need someone with "animal magnetism" to Critique movies for us!!! OC and the CCC

You do look most uncomfortable on your bed - turn around three times and maybe you can get it back the way you like it - or just click your heels together - or something. Sheesh - Labradorks!

Cool site, I looked up Seven Pounds and found out that Duke the Great Dane was played by two seperate Danes. That's pretty interesting. Are there any movies with big Mastiffs in them, besides Harry Potter? (Fang is a neo mastiff right?) - Fun fact, in the books Fang is refered to as a Boar Hound - which is actually me!! So the movies should have had a big great dane not a neo mastiff. OK enough rambling....

Hey Mango, Mom can't sit long enough to watch a movie unless she's got a bunch of other things to do, like catchin' up on our blog and stuff. We don't remember seein' that movie come in the mail (we gets Netflix). We'll have to put that movie on our list of ones to watch!

Hello Mango,

I am new to the game, but I have enjoyed reading your blog for a few months now. You are one of my favorates! I finally convinced my mom to let me get one too! Maybe you could introduce me to some of your friends and show me the ropes a little. :)

I know you think ALL labs are labradorks, but maybe you could make an exception for me because I'm way cooler than the average lab - thats what my mom tells me at least.

wags and woofs,
Mack....oh...and Mia too...

I watch all the movies with my humans. My favorite recent movie was Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs. Food raining from the sky! Oh, yeah! I watched it twice with my little boys. But I'll bet your momma won't rent it for you and pee-wee. do you have neighbor kids you can hang out with?

JD - I feel your pain Mango, Max always messes up my side of the sofa too, he scrunches up the blanket and can I get it back to the way I like again? Can I f....

Max - JD! Language!

JD - I was only going to say 'can I flip the blanket back' Max - what did you think I was going to say?

Max - Oh, um, nothing JD....

JD - Anyway Mango, as I was saying - smaller doggies like my little bro Max CAN be tiresome. Us big doggies need to stick together on this.

Max - *rolls eyes!* Yeah JD, 'cos you're like - um - enormous! Oh brother....!!
