Short Sunday

Yesterday my thoughts were sad because I had to bid farewell to Java. A fine chap indeed who even had his own ride. Run free, labradude.

And now the rain has descended upon my estate in a most alarming fashion. I call it movie set rain because it is raining so hard it looks totally fake. Rain, and fierce winds that render the outdoors an undesirable destination for sure.

In anticipation of unavoidable cabinet fever, I demanded some playtime yesterday morning. Good thing because we are now engulfed and all good times including happy training, meaty bones, and sun baking have come to an end.

I asked momma to bring out our Cuz toys, but she was being quite parsimonious with the flashy beast (hmmm... how out of character) and we only have a few photos.

First, stupid PeeWee using his entire small self to smack down his Cuz (note pink girlie color... ha! pink is for doggies without their labranards).

As for me, I much prefer to recline and have my manly blue cuz tossed into my large and highly coordinated to my brain jaws.

I made an action packed movie for you to watch. Sigh, whenever I watch this I become quite agitated due to the sounds of cuz fun time which I know has been suspended until the rain finds its way to some other place (perhaps west of 495).

Mango Man! Oh yeah!

Hi Mango
Sorry to hear about the rain!
We just watched that video and it seems your mom is going to have to improve her throwing skills.
Is she really expecting you to run about like Dexter!
We can see why he would have a pink cuz - whilst a more manly dog like yourself has a blue one.
Our mum thought there was something very manly about the way you hardly moved a muscle!!!!!
You made us all laught over here in Scotland.
Well we are not sure if dogs can laugh..........
love and kisses

Hey there big boy!
Rain has a way of dampening things, doesn't it!?! Perhaps you'd sent some our way?...It's sweltering here at the moment!
Take care now and keep the 'pinky' in check!

We are very sorry about the loss of your friends :( Nothing like a romp with a Cuz to feel better! Good luck with the storms!

I heard that the rains were awful for you. It would be over my head, butt only up to your tummies.

Sorry to hear about Java's crossing... hope the weather clears up soon enough. The Cuz thingy looks fun.

I doubt its the color of your Cuz that determines your manliness, Mango. I mean it was sort of exciting to see Peewee leaping around and engaging in play. And you, relaxed isn't even expressive enough for what you did.

Hi, Mango!
I am sorry to know about Java.
I agree with Martha and Bailey. Your mom needs to work on her throwing skills! I loved to watch how you saw the cuz going away from you! Haaaa!
Have a great sunday!

We didn't know Java, but he seems like he was popular in the blog world, so we're sorry to see him go.

We've got the cabinet fever, too. Marge just went on a 15 minute walk.. and, we got lucky, because as soon as we got inside, the thunder started again. What is the summer going to be like if the weather is already this crazy?

I love how you are totally sessile whilst playing with your cuz! Why get up to get it when DOH will get it for you. Pee-wee on the otherhand turns into Tigger! Very Bouncy!
Sorry about the rain. Hope DOH does not bring out the intellectual stimulations toys and interrupt your rainy day meditations!

pam said...

Dearest The Mango,

Could you please tell us how to train our DOH so that we don't have to move our large but perfectly round bottoms to play cuz?

Warm Regards,

I am sad that your friend Java has left. Our sweet friends leave such a hole in our hearts when we cannot be with them. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends as they are going thorugh this hard time.
Be careful with the weather I am hearing that it is terrible in some places.
Thanks for helping with the house trashing party at my place the other day. The mom still doesn't have things back where they should be. Serves her right I say!

Hi Mango,

Sorry to hear about your Java. It's so sad when we lose a best friend.

Sounds like you are getting the weather that we had yesterday. Now it's time for you to give it to somebody else.

I loved your action-packed video. It had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. Very well done, indeed!! Too bad the Academy Awards are over.

Love and Lots of Koobuss Kisses,

So sad here too to learn of the crossing of Java - such a great big brother he was to all the Scotties. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.

TD loves his cuz too, but not Phantom. Ciara is too busy chewing on TD's tail to be interested in cuzes yet.

We have that miserable rain here too - it gets old very quickly.

Mango Man! Oh Yeah! I love the way you keep your large and not-so-easily moved self completely still when the ball passes you, hoping it will hop into your mouth just like bunnies so often do when they feel becoming dinner for a wolf. ya, that's what i hear they do. they LEAP into the wolf's mouth! imagine that! no doubt this is how you imagine your cuz to behave.
