An Apology, New Chewies, and Baby Birds

Alert readers will notice that I have not been keeping up with commenting on your blogs.

Well, I have a very good reason. You see, I have been having a most amazing and relentlessly huge adventure, yuh, for sure, and it has kept me too busy to do more than scan your posts.

I apologize, but stay tuned tomorrow to see my big adventure and I hope you will forgive my laxness.

In the meantime, today we got to try out antler chewies for the first time. What with me being a full sized doggie, we had to get the super jumbo sized ones.

Ah, poor PeeWee and his tiny little snooter.

Perfect size for the Mango! Must be from an elk or something.

It distresses me hugely to see that there appear to be only two robins in the nest. I know that one egg was laid very late and momma thinks that these two pushed the late comer out of the nest and he was eaten by wild animals. That is sad.

Here is an actual movie of the two little piggies.

Tune in tomorrow!

Mango Man! Oh yeah!

Nice chew toy! Perfect for the massive Mango. Dexter looks a bit confused and overwhelmed by it.

It's survival of the fittest for the birds. We're glad none built nests on our porch this year. Last year it was like Wild Kingdom out there.

Have a great Sunday, hope your weather has cooled off!

Nice (HUGE) antlers - haven't seen any that large - who's your supplier, Mango?! Awwww - that is so sad about the third bird - it is definitely gone from its nest.

I'm am looking forward to reading all about your great adventure - keep enjoying those antlers! (Don't WORRY about the comments!)
Hugs xoxo

My pups would enjoy those antlers too.

A HUGE adventure would be the only kind for you, Mango. Now you've got me furry curious and I can't wait to find out what it is. You never have to ask to be forgiven for not getting to all the blogs. It's just not always pawssible. We've learned that. However, you simply must read the post I'm putting up today. You don't have to read it today. It'll be there whenever you have time, but it will be a must read for my furiends.

lotsa licks, Lola

Oh yeah!! Mango it was you that introduced me to antlers back during the pay-it-forward game! One of our favorites to date, and Carmen thinks they are great now too :)

Aren't antlers sooo cool? And they don't ever splinter like bones do!
I am a little shocked at how expensive they are, deer aren't THAT hard to find...but as you mentioned, maybe they are elk antlers.

Now I'm on the edge of my seat about this big surprise!

We have a robin's nest right outside our kitchen window and they come back to it every year. Dad likes to watch them from inside. He keeps saying he's going to get a webcam for them!

Hi Mango, I have been a little slack too leaving comments. But I can blame it all on my Mom, which is alwayss fun to do.

I would like to try one of those deer antlers, but I think it would be furry hard to run a deer down in our town. We'll see.

Hi Mango
I think you sent me an antler once. Maybe your mom sneaked it out. We love it and just found the last of one under the couch (which tells you a lot about the kind of cleaning going on here). Maybe you sent two. I can't remember. Hope your adventure includes some yummy food.

Well, that wasn't very nice. You don't push your unhatched siblings out of the nest. (Or Dexter either, Mango. So don't get any ideas.)

Hi Mango - we can't wait to find out about your hoooge adventure! How thrilling - we've been trying to guess but we really have no idea!! We're very envious of you and Dexter - those antlers looked scrummy! Schnauzer snuggles - JD and Max.

Our momma has been considering getting some atlers, Are they more yummy than nylabones? We can't wait to read about your most excellent adventure!

Aw, the poor little guy. I have a robin who flies into my porch to visit me. He's just chillin' in Thor World.

We can't have antlers or anything hard because Tsar and Sky have expensive dental work and Mom doesn't want them cracking their caps. So we all have to suffer. We do get other treats on a pretty regular basis so we really can't complain too much.

Wow! It has been awhile since you have had an adventure! I can't wait. I have seen those antlers but I am worried moose will break his teeth with his super strong snooter of doom! Do you think really strong labrajaws could bite down hard enough to break teeth on it?
Sorry about your birdie pal :-( Sad.

Those antlers look interesting. Mango-approved? Might have to try them. You didn't break any teefers eating them?

Sorry about your baby bird. (Actually, they are kind of tasty, and we don't know why Grammy has such a fit when we catch one) The people's always feel bad after seeing all the work the parent birds have gone through...

ANTLERS... Those are just SO great!!! We LOVE them and they last a long time around here even with ALL of us taking turns chewing on them! Bet you love yours too, though we wonder where in the world they got one BIG enough for you! The Country Corgi Crew minus Mercy... we can't seem to find her...
