It breaks my heart to have to tell you that one of my newest pals, Bruce, crossed over the Rainbow Bridge yesterday. I was just getting to know him and will miss him very much.
That kind of news makes my little owie seem less important, doesn't it? But I do want to thank all my pals for their kind wishes and advice. I am getting around OK, but you can see here how hard it is to go down the stairs without using my left leggie. Makes me wish I had paid more attention when momma was trying to teach me to use my ramp.
You know, I wasn't going to post at all, because I feel kind of bad when I post and get so many wonderful comments and then can't get around to visiting. But momma has just been no help at all what with spending even more time at the work place and now Master has a bad boo boo too and the PeeWee is getting extra walkies because I am not allowed to play with him and he has built up steam and oh dear!
I was rewarded in the morning with some crunchy ice in my full sized water bowl. Nommy.
Momma tried to cheer me up by giving me a new stuffie, but, frankly, I am pretty bored with all this taking it easy stuff. If any doggies know some mentals stimulation exercises that one can do in a reclining position, I am all ears.
I confess to kind of crying and howling for attentions. And I get really excited when I see the leashes come out, but it is not to be for now.
Momma says I am going to a special V-E-T on Monday who knows how to do lots of stuff besides normal medicines, like acupuncture and massage and whatnot. His office is way out west of 495 so it will be quite an adventure.
In the meantime, here is a little movie taken on Sunday before I hurt myself. I am trying to learn to generalize my retrieving skills to things other than tennis balls and as you can see, doing very well (in fact better than certain little official retriever dogs, so there).
Mango Man! Oh yeah!
