More Big Snow - Gosh, this is getting dull

I was hoping to be able to post something more interesting than "black dog with snow" but somebody has been very negligent with the flashy. Not to mention that I continued to be forced to pre-post my writing because THERE IS NO TIME during the week.

So here goes and I will tell you that these photos are all from Friday, January 14th, so who knows what it might really look like outside by now.

The town did a super job clearing up after the big storm. Here I am showing off one of the big snow banks on the street. They even sort of cleared the sidewalks (but not enough for the RH).

I've really been missing my tennis ball, but the evil witch says, "No tennis ball until the snow is gone!" Something about them getting lost and then the Relentlessly Clueless finding and eating them.

So I have to make due with the super sized tennis ball which isn't all that much fun but at least it doesn't get lost.

Mango has decided to boycott the yard altogether, leaving momma running like a mad woman around the potty paths with him in pursuit as a substitute for actual exercise (now wouldn't you like to see a movie of THAT)?

The deep snow doesn't bother me terribly, but it does make you know who grouchy because it is over her knees and I force her to come venture off the paths in order to give me proper playtime.

Sadly, the poop deposit pile is all the way in the back and I have yet to convince anybody to make the journey, so the potty path is getting a bit, er, full...

Dexter done!

Dude, I'll bet watching the DOH and RH make the rounds around the PP (potty path) is a lot like watching clowns do hopscotch. No?

btw: we watched your therapy ball session last night (Mr. WD and I) and we had such a giggle over the RH getting stuck. wow... i mean really it was too funny even tho it was kinda sad... and the DOH had to move him around like a sack of potatos... poor RH!

We've got a couple of feet of snow, too, and Jarlaxle the Wonder Dog always loses a tennis ball first thing. We've been throwing a Wet Wubba, which has been successful so far - the tails kind of act as a flag for him to find it.

Shiloh'n Shasta here - our old snow ain't all gone yet and m0om sez we may be gettin'sum more.

We have that snow, too. From the same storms, I think. I don't mind it, Franklin loves it, but the humans are getting most cranky, let me tell you. Plus it might be why our internet has been so problematic. That has prevented me from entering MM so far, so the effects of this weather are far reaching indeed. Hope you get your tennis balls back soon.

Dexter you certainly do have a rough life. No tennis balls and over flowing Potty Paths are tough to deal with. I think you need a SIGN. I'm just sayin.

I think I see some poopies!
You guys didn't lose any power did ya????

Frisbees are fun because they are (harder) to lose in the snow... And so what if you go off the path? A little snow is good for you - it's not like the DOH has to follow you... Besides, she should be spending her outdoor time with a shovel, if you know what I mean! ;-)

Wow, Dexter, you sure do have a lot of snow! The potty path does look like it's getting a bit...cluttered. Try not to sulk too much over not having your tennis balls and play time.

Dexter....I tell ya....we are not sad ta be missin' all that snow. Why that stuff puts a real crimp in yer Potty habits.....it's hell lookin' fer a clean spot ta dirty, isn't it? But worse still is when the stuff melts 'n yer business is suddenly uncovered fer all ta see.

Thank dog the Ps don't stop feedin' us so we eliminate less.....

We hear ya, Dex! Many of the same woes here, too much snow (when you are less than a foot tall, the inches really pile up fast!) and mom being too busy "working" to blog about our fabulous selves as often as we'd like. Hmpf. Some garbage about having to pay for all the food, training, and agilities - whatever!!

My momma will not shovel a poop path for me. Thankfully, the UPS dude walks through my yard to get to the back door, and he is forced to walk right next to a thicket of hemlock trees, so I can get out of the deep snow there. I am so abused. On the other hand, it is now raining, so the snow should get reduced a lot!

I hear you on the tennis ball thing, Dexter, but #1 is also adamant that they should not be played with in the snow. So, I always get Frisbee time when we have snow!!!

I'm so jealous, Dexter. COLLIE-RADO HAS NO SNOW! Oh, sure, there's lots of it way up in the mountains. But down in the desert where I live - NONE! It's not fair. You have plenty. Could you send me some? Um, but you can keep the poopy parts of it. Not that I wouldn't enjoy getting Dexter and Mango poops in the mail but you know how humans are. My mom would prolly get all grossed out. Sigh.

You're so handsome in the snow! Oh and I forgot to mention that I love your header picture. :)

We like the Study in Black & White. Very artistic.

You're lucky your DOH will make PP's for you. On the rare occasions when we get deep snow, we're on our own. Jed plows, Abby minces along behind. We would pay good money to see the DOH racing along the PP, looking over her shoulder and calling the RH to follow her. Sounds like a risky run to us. Possibly worthy of an AFV $100,000 prize.

Dexter, we really think you have our snow!
It was here for about six weeks and deep just like that - at least you have longer legs!
We reckon you look very nice in the snow - we love the way your paws have disappeared!
Gosh we hope they are still there.
Our humans knows all about the problems of the poo trail........believe us it is worse when the snow finally thaws - it will all be floating then..............we kid you not!

OOOooooo... We are SO JEALOUS! We want to play in the snow, too! Grammy has been watching the news and wondered how you guys have been handling it, but it's been a while since we've had the chance to get over here with her being so sick. She says SHE is glad it isn't snowing like that around here, because it is hard enough taking Grandma OC outside at 3-4 in the morning in the cold fog what with her having pneumonia, a cracked/badly bruised tailbone, and wrenched shoulder.
