Mango, Mighty Hunter

Usually on Sunday me and Pea each get a nommy bone to munch on. But this week, momma says, "oh Mango, I just ran the lawn tractor around and the digger wasps are most agitated so I think you need to stay inside."

Sure, because I am not keen on having another one of those sink it's pointy bottom into my large and not wanting to swell up self.

So we got our nommy bones on Monday.... night... like totally after dark!

Of course Pea stayed inside to enjoy his. Momma says that is because we can only enjoy nommy bones when there is a closed door in between us but I know that is just a ruse to protect his delicate labra-ego because the truth is that he is sometimes a big chicken to go out in the dark unless there is a rabbit out there.

Hey! Is he chewing in MY bed? No wonder it always smells like meat.

Me? Yuh, no worries because nothing like being out in the dark nomming on the leg of a cow that one could totally have hunted down and snared on his own for sure.

I am Mango! The mighty hunter!

Hmmm... that photo makes it look like my yard is a big hill. Seems that the photographer is a bit unstable. I'll have to look into that.

Mango Man! Oh yeah!

Oh dear, the earthquake seems to have realigned your yard quite dramatically Mango.

Maybe the photographer gets a little "treat" after dark, too? That may account for the slanted photo.

Woof! Woof! It seems that your mom is being creative with her photo angle ... I say the illusion is great. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar

You two get THE BEST treats over at the Mango Estate!

Hunting cattles, eh? We'd say something about taking candy from a baby but that seems a bad comparison because we have found that trying to take candy from Ed, our resident baby, is actually quite difficult.

Enjoy your noms and tell those wasps to mind their own pointy bottomed business.

Did the earthquake tilt your yard a bit, Mango? Bet you love gnawing on that bone. We hardly ever see anything like that - the stores out here don't have them. Once in a while we get a small marrow bone, but nothing good like that.

Stay away from those bees, please.

We thinks that Mango Momma was being artistic in your gnawing on a cow leg bone photo. And we'd love it if our beds smelled like meat... we'd never get out of them... oh wait...

Agitated stingy bugs in the grass-EEK!! Those are some fine looking bones! We will get some!

Wow, in Massachusetts, you can "hunt" for clean cut cow legs? You and Pea are definitely mighty. Good thing we don't have those around here, or Cabana would never stop hunting.

Whew. THIS is why I read blogs at work. Sissy can't have bones - because rabbit and fish bones aren't good for doggies - so this post would have made her jealous!

The photographer was doubtless quaking in fear of the mighty hunter, and thus the picture is askew. No problem!

Nom chewing in the dark is so good - especially in a dark bedroom at the foot of the bed when the hoomans are trying to sleep - ah that grating of teeth on bone - what a lullaby

Oh Mango... I just read about all of your vet travails, and I felt awful for you. Between my K and you, the vet industry is booming! It sounds like you're getting better, and that's great news. We're doing the anti bio ticks too... we're using a broad spectrum one until the culture of K's pee comes back, and then we'll use a more refined one to match her high culture.

Keep healing, dude!

Moving on from the earthquake ... time to batten down the hatches, RH! This is a most intersting weather week.

One of mama's Danes used to bury bones all over the backyard. He's been gone 15 years and we are still unearthing some of his bones from time to time. For some strange reason, though, mama won't let us eat them.

Don't let that hurry-cane blow you away, RH & Pea!

YOu guys are so lucky. We aren't allowed to have bones because Tsar and Sky have expensive dental work so the rest of us have to suffer. Life isn't fair. Stay dry and safe this weekend.
