Is it Spring Yet?

Wowee zowie! I was all totally snuggled into my mastiff bed for my morning nap and then I got to thinking "where's PeeWee?" I told momma to go find him (yeah, like I was actually going to get up... as if).

She comes back and says "Oh, Mango! Dexter is out sun baking. You should join him!"

She even took a photo to show me. "Hmmm", says I, "what is that little labralog doing out on the deck during nap time?"

One glance at the calendar and I was immediately experiencing the cognitive dissonance.

Sun baking? In November? Huh?

But momma was most persistent and I dragged myself with great reluctance on to the deck.

And you know what? It was almost 70 degrees outside! Seriously! That's in Fair in Heights.

Winter is over! For sure! Check out this total spring time baking action photo.

Woo hoo!

Oh, and here is another super action photo (I think momma used the "sports" setting on the flashy to capture it).

Lest you think that I am actually letting PeeWee touch me, let me assure you that his proximity is only acting to radiate extra heat to facilitate two sided baking of my large and sizzling hot self.

I sure am glad winter is over.

Mango Man! Oh yeah!

P.S. Yesterday vet lady stole my bloods. She called today to say that all my medications are working fine and not causing anything bad. Woo hoo! You know what else? She did the extra special rectal examination to test the strength of my rectals muscles. How cool is that?

Uncle Mango, I thought we had Spring, now you have Spring so who the heck has it? Anyhoo you look very warm, we are warm here too so everyone is happy.

Glad your bloods are fine too. Oh no, please don't tell me there is an exercise we have to learn for strong rectal muscles. Does that mean holding in the poop for as long as possible? Rory would probably have a poop explosion. Eeewwww. Bet you scored a 10/10 for that muscle strength. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory

We had a warm day here today!! It rainy, but still nice since we know what is coming later in the week!!
Glad to hear that your blood test came back good!!!

Jed and Abby in MerryLand said...

Yep, we also had the surprise Springlike weather. It was so warm Jed was actually panting in his incoming winter furs.

Glad your blood was hunky-dory and that your meds are doing their job. What is this rectal muscle nonsense? Is this something other than temperature taking [and there is no excuse for the rectal glass stick, after Mango Momma bought you that nice ear thermometer] or the ritual cleansing of the anal glands? Do they do doggie prostate exams for un-tutored doggies?

I don't know how wise it is to announce your rectal examination to the world, man! I keep my tail tightly clamped when anyone goes near my nether regions but I guess that would be a problem for you... Deccy x

Little surprises such as a taste of spring in the midst of winter are awesome. However,it makes me wonder if the snow is going to be that much more intense!

You look like you're having fun:) Mama sent you a package. She never did this before actually, in years. She didn't know you can get boxes in post offices now. She used a box in the supermarket, covered it with the inside of Starbucks bags (she likes to conserve paper) and she and dad brought it to the post office. They had a blast:) Thank you for being our friend.

Ooh, Mango, does that mean you're going to have Xmas in summer, like we do here in Australia? You'll have to get your humans to have a bbq on the beach, that's what a lot of humans do here!

It gets all sweltery-hot, and for some strange reason the humans have to have roast turkey, and ham, and plum pudding and all hot foods. And really nice salads made of avocado and prawns and ... er... mango... Um. Perhaps you'd better hope for a wintry Xmas instead.

Mango, #1 has just spotted the following item on the BBC News website and has decided she must share it with you:

What do the words sex, lavender, flatulence, quickie, butt, mango and pud have in common?

They are among more than 1,000 words deemed so obscene by the Pakistani Telecommunications Authority that they have instructed mobile phone operators to block them from all text messages.

You will of course notice item #1 in the word list...
