Tennis Ball Liberation Day

Dear Readers,

As you might recall, yours truly was on the DL for what seemed an extraordinary amount of time due to a bit of over torque in my rear quarters (which rendered me owie and unable to bounce).

I am happy to report that the enforced R&R, while possibly more stressful than the injury itself, seems to have done the trick and I am back in action with my beloved tennis balls.

Perhaps the day will come when momma will actually read the owner's manual for the flashy and learn how to take high speed photos. In the meantime, well, a bit blurry but I think these snaps convey nicely that I am fully recovered.

Even the RH has been feeling a bit tennis ball deprived as he does enjoy participating in a vigorous examination of his mouth eye coordination skills (from a safely seated position).

Sadly, our sessions have been cut short due to the alarming bout of hot weather we have been experiencing at our estate. But, with just a brief splash under the refreshing spray of the hose...

I am ready for more. Oh happy day!

Dexter done!

P.S. Momma and Master are quite exercised themselves over the fact that tomorrow they will be turning over the keys to their latest project house.

I admit to being skeptical of the voracity of some of the alleged "before and after" photos that momma has shown me.

Surely this nightmare....

Cannot be the same room as this!

What do you think? If you want to see more, along with fascinating posts during construction, you can visit Master's project house blog here.

Way to go Dexter. Now remember not to overdo it the first couple of days, or you will be back on the DL before the real competition starts. Kind of like a few weeks on a farm team, ya know?

Slow and easy does it, Dexter. As if you can do slow and easy:) We are very happy you are doing better but we just don't want you to do too much too soon.

Your Dad does fantastic work - that old/new house is amazing.

I'm so happy you get to bounce around again. A Lab who can't chase tennis balls just isn't a Lab at all!

Yay for tennis balls! It would be a depressed house indeed here if they had to go away for a little while. I think your momma's action shots show the level of excitement that was going on at the estate.

Wowza for the before and after shots! Going over to that other blog to take a look! Ann TBL

Was there really a clothes dryer in the kitchen before?? Great job on the after. I love the "flow" of all the appliances.

We thought of Mango the other day because Cabana got to play with a mastiff/great dane mix. He was a big boy--but not quite as big as Mango Man.

We think your Momma took photos of two different houses. Why else would the new owners be so, well, nevermind.... Heehee. Just poking fun! Glad to hear you are back in action, Dexter! Maybe now your Mom will have a few minutes to read the manual so she can get some better pictures (our Mom is STILL trying to figure out 'low light' shots). You'd think these nerdy types would know how to work a camera.... *sheesh*

I'd believe those project house pictures! It's amazing what a difference a few things (or, a lot, as it looks like in that case) can make!

I'm so glad that you're able to jaunt again with your tennis balls! Elka would definitely be miserable if she couldn't blast around the yard chasing tennis balls!

Glad to see you off the DL, Dex. Now you can enjoy some healthful exercise and stop spending time at that Eros place to relieve your stressies. In this hot weather, we hope you're getting to use your neighbors full sized cement pond, too.

Mommy thinks the picture are kind of cool when they are a little blurry. Dexter looks so handsome and happy to have his beloved tennis balls back in action. I love the picture of Mango also with his large jowls ready for chewing. The last picture of Dexter is so frickin cute. He looks sooooo happy.

It is amazing the work done on that house. You should be very proud. God bless your for all that work.
