Norwood's Dog Days of Summer - Day 21 (and more excuses)

Grab this picture and play along

Day 21 - In the Car

The Mango does NOT use a ramp to get into his mastiff mobile, thank you very much. However, it is kind of a high step for my large and not always leaping and bouncing self.

Momma? Hello? Can you please come around and lift my bottom up?

Mango Man! Oh yeah!

P.S. You want even MORE excuses from the lazy human about not helping me read and comment on blogs? How about "Oh Mango! All the fruit was just harvested and it has to be canned and jammed and made into pies." As if! Made into pies that the Mango is not allowed to eat. All I get is a little wedge of peach now and then.

And nobody has even started on the nectarines yet. Oh help!

Mango, I have to tell you that Gail is doing some RH-style salivating at all those preserves and pies.
As for the car thing, I guess you are fortunate that the Mastiff Mobile is a slightly larger vehicle that the Bertie Mobile (i.e. the Mini).
Toodle pip!

I'd love to help! I wish I was closer!

Back in our Great Dane days I had a truck with a camper shell - the Danes used to leap up in the back and every single time would knock their heads on the shell. I wish they would have let me help them up!

Your 2-legs are lucky to have large yard for big doggies and fruity trees.

Well, if we were you, Mango, we would not worry about the commenting and stick very close to the canner - you KNOW she has to drop a bit of that fruit now and then.

Mango, my mom has to lift my back end into the rott-mobile, too. I could jump in, but I like to hear her moan. We agree with the Woo's, though. Stay close to that fruit. They always drop something...

Mango we do think your Momma is right on this occasion to keep you away from all that fruit. You would probably frighten yourself tooting......

Now we would very much have liked to played Dog Days of Summer. We also appear to have a lazy human in our household who hasn't helped us with this fun challenge. Grrrr. However, I feel Taffy is going to pull all the stops out for Day 25.

Mango, I too enjoys the occasional rear-lift into the car. It is because we is important, NOT because we no can does the jump.

Probably this ghastly subject already has been broached, but I really hope your mama no has said anything about making mango pies. Ahhhhhhh!

But most of all...WAS THAT A PICTURE OF YOUR MOMMA IN A DRESS???!!!! Me & Hsin-Yi were sure we were seeing things! :-) Looked like a wonderful wedding party - such lovely smiles. Mango, that fruit does look pretty tasty. You don't get any pie??? What the hell is going on around there. Are they at least in a spot where you could"accidently" knock them on the floor?? Good luck and be patient, the fruit has to run out eventually right?

Loveys Sasha

p.s Mango, your Momma needs to check out Amber the Weenies blog post. It disproves her lettuce is not food theory, I am afraid to say. I hope she gets a chance to watch the video

What you need is a cat to knock all that stuff to the ground. Then you can all feast and mummy can get round the blogosphere! We volunteer. In return for a slice of the goods.

Oh yum! I would luv to help your Mom in the kitchen ;) Glad you get at least a slice of the delish fruits Mango :) Way to squeeze your massive self into the MangoMobile! ;)

Momma is really ambitious! Those are some great looking preserves and pies!

We understand - my mom has lots of excuses these days too. Mom is VERY impressed by the Mango Momma's fruit harvest and canning and pie-making and all that stuff. As for not getting any, just try to snatch some off the counter when they are not looking. Your head is probably already counter height, right?

your pal,
Garth

Awww poor Mango the Momma just left you hangin half in and half out of the Mastif mobile.

I know how you feel. My hind end is getting weak and it's becoming more difficult for me to get in and out of the EmmaMobile especially after a long walk and sometimes my bottom needs boost.
