POTP for Jed in Merryland

I think a lot of you, dear readers, know Jed and Abby in Merryland from all the wonderful comments that they leave on our collective doggie blogs.

Jed and Abby don't have their own bloggy and I need to alert you to Jed's health issues, OK?
You just leave comments on this post and I know they will read them.

Here is what Jed's momma wrote:

Jed has been holding steady, although today he's having a flare-up of his IBS.  So far, his meds, diet & the POTP have kept the immune disorder from attacking his major organs.  He'll never get better;  the object now is to prevent or at least slow further decline.  He has a separate OCD issue which makes him lick bad sores on his legs;  some have required surgery to repair.  Right now, both of his rear legs are bandaged so he sorta looks like a racehorse.

Guess the short version is that Jed is mostly holding his own and is still enjoying eating, playing with Abby, chasing birds and chewing on his bones and himself.

Plus their momma could use some POTP herself as she has some very bad owies in her neck and shoulder and hands and it is making it ever so hard for her to type (Abby has been trying to comment but you know how difficult the keyboard can be without thumbs).

We know first hand how bad the IBD issues can be as we were faced with April's (RIP) IBD for a few years. You just keep hanging in there, Jed! Your Momma and your sissy need you around to take care of them.

We send lots of prayers and POTP to you and your Mommy.

(and Mom)

Crossed paws for Jed and his mom. Sissy sure has plenty of non-IBD gastro issues and Gg licks when stressed... and I get stressed when they're not well.

Sending out our vibes through the ether. Abby is the best legal beagle (mix) EVER, but we have no doubt she wouldn't have the smarticals that she does without Jed. We've got our paws crossed for Jed and the momma, as we know how hard it is to type without thumbs!

Thank you so much, Mango & Pea & their Momma for allowing us to let the blogging community know what is going on here. We love you all & really appreciate the kind words of support. We sure didn't want anyone to think we had lost interest or disappeared from Blogville. We are really grateful for the RH's kindness in once again allowing us to borrow space on his blog to communicate with Blogville.

RH, you & Pea be sure to stay away from the ocean up there. From the news, sounds like the Great White Sharks are having their convention in your backyard.

Lacie gives Abby a wide smile, while also giving her a wide berth and smiles FLIR TASH ISH LY at Jed giving him a hoooge wink....Abby mumbles something about Lacie's lack of moral standards during the Minster....Lacie winks at Jed again and whips up a blender full of soothing smooties guaranteed to fix his mom's neck, Jed's IBS and Abby's ethical issues with Lacie. The blender whirs....and whirrs...

A small fire starts, but is quickly extinguished with a bucket of Mango Suds always on hand....

Lacie waits until Abby's eyes close sleepily from the soothing effects of the smoothies and sticks her tongue out at her. She snuggles close to Jed and giggles....

All is calm for the moment.

Aw, Jed! I love you and Abby, even though I only know you from comments. Get well, old friend.

Now I know why we couldn't find a bloggie for Jed and Abby. They always leave such nice comments and we were hoping to find a bloggie so we could leave them some too.

I am so sorry to hear about Jed. We are praying for his healing and hope he can leave his leggies be so they will heal. I know what it's like to have something you just gotta keep licking because I had an elbow owie I occasionally licked too much.

Jed and Abby left a comment on our bloggie asking how I'm doing. Well, I still don't eat much. Not nearly enough to gain any weight back and the last vet visit showed I had lost a couple more pounds. I go for walks several evenings a week weather permitting as prescribed to help keep my muscles from weakening. My back end muscles aren't as strong as they should be and it's difficult for me to stand in one place for very long. By the end of our walks I'm moving at the speed of a turtle. Don't let my speed fool you because I'm ready to go every time the door opens. I remind Mom and Dad every night not to forget about our walk.

Jed, I hope you and your Mom are feeling much better soon. My Mom understands how yours must be feeling right now.

Sending you lots of Great Dane hugs.
