Amazing Kitteh with Peg Legs and Other Musings by Dexter

Labrafans will be wondering why they don't see more Dexter centric posts. I will tell you why. Because unlike the Relentlessly Torpid, I actually do stuff and move around and keep up with current events. Unlike others who seem obsessed with googling their own name and then getting confused when they see stuff like this...

So without further ado, I give you a miscellany of my week.

First up, this peculiar peg leg kitteh. You can read about him here. He lost his back leggies in a terrible accident, but the clever vets in the UK implanted little peg legs and away he goes, good as new. Amazing.

You might be saying, "Hey Dexter, that is a boring photo of you in front of a dumb sign on your walkies." Not so. You see, earlier this week, the Relentlessly Afraid of Inanimate Objects went walkies to this exact spot and when he saw this sign he FREAKED. No kidding. So in your face there, buddy, neener, neener, neener.

Totally NOT related to my opening topic is this recent discovery in my yard; the severed limb of a hapless rabbit. Don't know how that got there...

Ever notice how your tongue gets too big for you mouth in the hot weather?

Please, momma, no more giant tongue photos. What will my fans think?

The robins added another egg to their nest. They started with three the last time as well, but one did not make it.

See what I mean about keeping busy?

Just one activity after another for yours truly.

And what of the dinosaur sized beastie? No comment. Ish.

So fear not, loyal friends, I one super busy dude. I am going to agilities, daycare, swim club, walkies, tennis ball, you name it. Exhausting!

Dexter done!

You have been a busy boy Dexter! We like your swimming photo - you are so athletic. We have the same problem with our tongues when it gets hot and we have been playing hard, Chomping on an ice cube sometimes helps.

You do keep busy Dex, that's for sure!
Are you sure you didn't have anything to do with the legless rabbit!? BOL!

Lola and also Franklin, too said...

Dexter you are way busy. I can see that. A labradude's work is never done. I don't think that reflects badly on Mango, though. You're different from each other. That's not a bad thing. Mango was bred to do one thing - keep things the same, basically. Prevent change at all costs. That's what guard dogs do, really. They're social conservatives by nature. Labradudes, on the other paw, were bred to be agents of change. Helping their humans to change waterfowl into dinner, for instance. Both are wondeful types of doggies, I think.

About that Mango ice cream. Now Blog Mom once had some mango ice cream in a restaurant which she said was almost heaven. So when she saw Edy's had Mango - Edy's comes in a container just like the one in your picture incidently - it was furry disappointing. Either way it didn't contain any mastiff whatever, which is a good thing.

OMD OMD do you suppose it has started RAINING RABBIT PARTS?? Must be a result of all that BEE PEE in the Gulf Coast.
You certainly have a full schedule.

You sure are one busy pup, Dexter! Gonna be an Olympic athlete when you grow up? ;) We have been missing your posts for sure.

I am often surprised by what inanimate objects scare dogs, but then again, I'm not a dog so I can't see it from a dog's eyes....but you seem completely fine with that big strawberry!

Raymond and Busby said...

Perhaps the main part of the rabbit will be found in your labrastool?

Infrequent Flyers said...

Dexter, I think you should teach Mango a thing or two, like how to not be afraid of strawberry-shaped signs. He NEEDS you!

Pippen said...

You are one busy dude, Dexter! After reading everything you did last week, we think we need a nap!

And don't be too hard on the Mango for being scared of a sign... we were at a park the other day and saw a rock that looked like a monster... boy were we scared of that!

Hey Dexter,

But in no nice blue pool. I would like to make this also sometimes.

That's pretty cool about that cat!

It's good to see that you've been keeping busy. Tee hee! I can't imaging the RH being scared of that sign!

FUN week dude!!!!!!!!

Sue said...

Is that Mango's lucky rabbit's foot? We found a whole dead rabbit in our yard, but we didn't do it. The neighbor's cat found the rabbit nest and raided it, then left it so we'd get blamed.

That's our story and we're sticking to it.

Wow, your summer is off to a rockin' start already Dexter! ;) Make sure to relax in between all your activities.

Giant strawberries can be intimidating, they just aren't right. You are fearless Dexter!

Marjie said...

See, Dude, you missed the part where the RH sent you to make sure the inanimate object was entirely safe. Your Labrasteam would propel you out of there if that giant strawberry tried to eat you, and you'd probably drag Momma to safety, too. He's always thinking, that Mango.

And what is it with the "lucky" rabbit feet? Are they so lucky for the poor bunnies?

♥♥ The OP Pack ♥♥ said...

So much news from you today, Dexter. We saw that about the kitty, wonder if he could use that rabbit's foot for good luck?

Phantom would have freaked at that giant strawberry too - he does NOT like the color red to come face to face with him.

Tell Dexter we will see if we can find that Mango ice cream and give it a taste.

Whew, Dexter! I'm Most Exhausted just reading abouts your activities! You needs to slow down and smell the horse poop occasionally, okay? Oh, and I don't blame RH for being skeered of that sign. That's obviously a warning that there are mutant relentlessly huge strawberries ahead!

OMD! I am so behind. You were wagging in your classes Mango! Impreeeesive. That kittie is too.Um does Dexter happen to know the owner of the bunny who lost his footsie? Seems like he could have the same pegged leggeds as the kittie huh? And guess tongues aren't the only things that grow big in the heat - jeepres look at the size of that strawberry. How big is the pot of cream to go with it?

Wiry love Eric xx

Dexter you are one busy fur-kid that is for sure. We can see why you need your rest on that big comfy bed after the workout you presented to us. We are so thankful we are like Mango and get to take it easy and just worry about keeping the blog updated. We could not handle all that activity with our short hound legs.
