Tennis Ball on Tuesday by Dexter

Tennis Ball!
Are there two better words for a human to say? I don't think so. Nothing better than hearing that glorious call to happy fun time. But sometimes it seems to take forever between the words being spoken and actual good times starting.

Just watch this movie and you will see. Uh oh, the movie is too big for our blog! So you need to watch it on YouTube by clicking here.

Don't be alarmed by the squeaking sounds when momma throws the balls. That is the next door neighbor dog. She always wants to join us for tennis ball parties, but that is forbidden due to Captain Hump Alot being such a beast with the ladies.

Being a multi talented athlete, I enjoy mixing things up by combining some agilities with just about any activity.

Does somebody have labraenvy? Look at his face. Must take every ounce of mentals he has to propel his relentlessly huge self through the air and hang on to that ball. I'll give him extra points for difficulty on that one.

Bonus! The estate pool has opened for the season! That means soon the cement pond will open up next door and then watch out!

Dexter done!

P.S. Since momma already posted it all over the internets, I might as well tell you. RH fell on his ass during bitey face and pinched his dangly bits and howled and moaned something awful. Doofus.

You know, between the frozen nards and now the falling on the balls... I'm wondering if Momma shouldn't just have them snipped! (Please don't tell Mango I said that! )

Miss Mabel loves the tennis balls too Dex... but then she is part labradudette!

I'm not chasing tennis balls much right now, mostly because we've only had a couple of really nice sunny days. I have to wait for my boys to finish skool for the real funballs to start!

We played in our wading pool over the weekend, too. Then Norma Jean went inside and stood in the drinking bowl. Who wants to drink after she has her big dirty feet in the water.

Nice jumps while holding an object. That takes lots of coordination. Guess Mango used all his coordination up on the hurdles.

Yeah, um, we were sorry to hear about Mango's, ah, squooshed dangly-bits. However, we found it quite funny that your Mom felt the need to post it all over the interwebs. And we're quite impressed with the RH's agilities. But what is this grass and pond stuff all about? We've got snow (and mud) and our pond won't open for AGES. *sigh*

Hi, Mango!
Very nice time for ball games!
Dexter sure knows how to wag his tail... super duper fast!
Ouchie! You feel on his ass....
Take care
Kisses and hugs

Khady Lynn said...

Ya know, that is just totally mean to keep asking you over and over if you want to play with the tennis ball! Why do humans feel the need to torture us with their relentless asking of the same questions over and over and over! Like, hey! We said yes the first time you asked, dork!

They just don't get it.

Jed and Abby in MerryLand said...

Here's our idea. Use the video as part of the application to have wagging dog tails certified as a clean energy source of power, eligible for federal development grants. With the money, every house with a dog gets a tennis ball machine and a lifetime supply of tennis balls. Just need you to figure out a minor detail, like how to hook up the wagging tails to something to actually generate electricity.

So sorry about Mango's accident. We're sure he kissed them and made them all better.

Oh dear, poor Mango.... I hope he will find time to visit my blog in the next few days as I am collecting some data for my next science lecture and I think that he could provide me with a particularly interesting data point.

Enjoy the estate pool, if you do enjoy that sort of thing.

Wow...look at the fun time you all had! I am Most Impressed that you can jump AND hang on to the ball at the same time. I think it was nice of you to gives Mango extra points when he did it. Specially since he hurt his dangly bits and all.

"Mr. Hump a lot" totally cracked me up.

Nice jumps with ball in mouth! Our agility stuff just emerged from under the snow, and now it's snowing like the blazes again. Oh well. Someday, we'll be doing the same thing!

So happy about the pool at your estate. Ours hasn't opened yet due to freezing temps every night! Funny, we have exactly the same pool!

Dexter - see that picture of you on the high hurdles was just what the doctor ordered this evening. Sooooo cute! P.S. Sorry about Mango's danglers :(

Scruffy, Lacie and Stanley's Place said...

Hmm....well...so we're back to the subject of Mango's danglers. I thought we were over that, but NO...rearing its uglee um well nevermind. I'm thinkin' Mango might need a pair of tighty whiteys...you know to keep it all tucked in...

Oh, Peewee...the pool...the pool...I love the way you have the snowman on your header and the pool....it's the best of both worlds.

Hey we posted a video of Denver the Guilty Dog..he's a lab...have ya ever seen it? Wouldn't happen here. We dogs have poker faces.

TwoSpecialWires said...

We thought we were all done listening to Moma chuckle about Mango's Mishap. Then she read Lacie's suggestion of the whitey tighties and she's rolling on the floor again. Poor Mango.

We'd rather she direct her attention to the pool. But we guess it has to stop snowing first. Some day. If we're lucky.

Play ball!
